Alpine Ski Movement Black Apple

Ski sold without binding.

Movement puts its signature on the Black Apple, a ski that loves the mountain when the mountain gets wild. A ski that loves silence and light powder. A ski that's light, versatile and can turn any skiing day into moments of pure magic. The Black Apple features a Karuba and composite woodcore designed to keep the weight as low as possible, greatly beneficial for approaches. Once the uphill bit is over, just enjoy the powder with the Light Rocker making the ski literally float above the surface. No need to sit back, just let it surf the deep. And if you happen to go across some bits of chunky powder or need to end your tour by the groomed slopes, no problem, the ski is responsive and holds onto any grounds with only one goal in mind. Making you happy.

What our testers say : Brand new in Movement's line, the Black Apple is getting into the touring industry and for a first try, it's a good try. Best suited for intermediate and advanced skiers, the ski is truly adaptable to any terrain and shines through the mountain. It's reactive and controllable on hard snow and offers a great surfy feel on pow. It's also very light and feels really good at all times of the tour. Highly recommended.

Structure - Construction

  • Dynamic Light Tri-Axial Fiber :

This structure delivers a stiff flex and resists to torsion. It is lighter than the standard tri-axial.

  • MLTech Construction :

    Monocoque construction.

  • Karuba Core :

Wood is alive, strong and resilient, and guarantees the ski’s continued resilience and longevity. MOVEMENT skis use only PURE wood cores; no synthetic or composite synthetic/wood cores (wood with injected foam) – (except kids skis). These cores are shaped from the most select materials, and are very accurately calibrated for the optimum result. We certify that the origin of our wood cores are FSC or PEFC. We have eliminated in our wood core assembly process the use of toxic adhesives.

    Karuba wood Core, very light.

Various

  • Corund Shiny :

Movement topsheets are a 0.5 mm double polyamide (ICP8210), available in different surface treatments (corund / grip / noppe / glossy). The surface treatments are selected for each specific use. This durable polyamide has an anti UV treatment (no yellowing), resists abrasion, and resists deformation with high temperature fluctuation. The anti-stick grip surface treatment resists snow sticking and can be cleaned without damaging the surface.

Corund shiny : Shiny finish of the topsheet

  • Ptex 2000 base :

High density base, glide and wax absorption enhanced, abrasion resistant.
