Alpine Ski Amplid Antidote

Ski sold without binding.

If you’ve caught the virus of Freestyle, beware. It’s a dangerous disease making more and more addicts every year. Fortunately, Amplid has the Antidote. It may not cure you or stop you from sending tricks all over the place, but it will at least help you land them with style!

What can the Amplid Antidote do?

Designed by Kevin Salonius’ creative mind, the Antidote replaces the Antidogma from last year. It is a versatile freestyle twin tipped ski clearly oriented towards park performance and slopestyle. It’s got a well distributed flex and a solid pop turning it into an actual park weapon. The medium flex pattern offers the playful feel needed for pressing rails and boxes without comprimising support on landings. As any decent freestyler, the ski rides switch naturally and delivers stability and agility throughout the park. And if you’ve landed enough tricks for the day, you can run on groomers and work your carving skills, the Antidote handles traditional skiing without any worry. If you want to have a good time, the Antidote is a safe bet.

Who is the Amplid Antidote designed for?

Amplid is targeting advanced and expert freestylers with the Antidote. It’s a poppy and responsive park specific ski that rips and shreds all day long.

Structure - Construction

  • Doomsday Bend  : Believe it or not, even glass fibres have a degree of elasticity. Using pre-stretched fibres in our laminates means you can be sure that your shred will never feel lifeless or lack pop throughout its life.
  • Jekyll & Hyde Geometry  :

Max effective edge and square centimetres in a min board or ski length. Experimenting with complete shaping (outline, camber and core profile together) in the lab and on the mountain has resulted in some crazy discoveries: Unsinkable but nimble powder boards, sawn-off jib decks with huge pop and edge-hold and the ultimate all-mountain ski recipe. With Jekyll and Hide Geometry appearances can be deceiving.

  • Nukeproof Roundtop  :

Botox for your skis: To protect the topsheet from aging, our latest ski construction offers the best solution against chipping: Thanks to our 3D mould the PE foil gets welded over a small radius onto the sidewall.

  • Pop band carbon stringers  :

Carbon reinforcements centered on the ski and running from tip to tail in order to increase pop and longitudinal stiffness without compromising torsional stiffness.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

Various

  • Abuse Base Technology  : Improved durability
  • Sintruded 6.6k Diecut Base
  • TPU Spins Tips
