Description

In need for freedom? Just get into ski touring! No more crowded resort and endless lineups at the chairlift. With the Dynastar Alti 80 go up on your own and discover the true and incredible mountain.

What can the Dynastar Alti 80 ski do?

After the Pierra Menta build for the race, the Alti 80 is the narrowest touring ski of the french brand. Light and nimble, it is a great model to start ski touring without ruining yourself. You will almost forget it going uphill, even if your are not super fit, the first ascents will be smooth. Take the skins off, get some rest lock the bindings and drop in. You will then discover the interest of having a 80mm waist and not a nordic ski. With the Alti 80 and its tip rocker you will have the feeling of floating in deep as if by magic. The ski/snow contact is extremely smooth and you will have a blast doing turns one after another with fluidity.

Who is the Dynastar Alti 80 ski designed for?

Perfect for ski touring beginners, the Alti 80 will also fit the most experimented skiers who want to give advantage to the ascent performances. Powerful on all terrains, the Alti 80 is a cheap touring ski that makes the mountain exploration affordable to all of us.

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
