Alpine Ski Head Monster 88

Ski sold without binding.

Welcome to Head’s horror mansion and discover their new breed of monsters, eager for powder and ready to devour the entire mountain. They are beasts waiting to be unleashed. If you think you can handle that and you want to make the mountain yours, then you should probably try the skis, you won’t regret it.

What can the Head Monster 88 do?

The Monster 88 is a cross between well-behaved and wild in the sense that it obeys well, it is easy to manage and fun, but it has character. Reinforced with graphene and titanal, you can expect responsiveness and agility. Suited for shredding all terrains, the ski comes with versatile sidecuts performing anywhere and with an 88mm waist offering support and floatation when the snow gets softer. The ski feels nimble and playful, it blasts through crud with an effortless ease and dances through the trees with style. It seems like a good choice if you want something very progressive and super fun. On groomers, there is nothing to worry about. It feels just fantastic. The responsive construction offers swift edge to edge transfers and the ski kicks well out of turns with a good acceleration. It is a bit like having a piste specific ski that can go off piste and deliver performance.

Who is the Head Monster 88 designed for?

Great all-mountain ski highly recommended to advanced skiers looking for a real 50/50. The ski performs regardless of the conditions and you won’t need another pair of skis for ages.

Structure - Construction

  • Construction Worldcup Sandwich  :

Sandwich construction used for Worldcup skis.

  • Libra : Graphène™  :

GRAPHENE is the first crystal that is two dimensional, giving the material a unique set of properties. It is the thinnest and lightest element ever discovered by mankind. GRAPHENE is also the strongest material on the planet, stronger than diamond and 300 times stronger than steel, all in the thickness of one atom.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Allride Rocker  :

The brand places highly targeted amount of rocker in each model to ensure maximum performance for all ability levels. Steering is easier for all skiers and soft snow versatility is enhanced.

  • Era 3.0  :

A masterful blend of three independently important technologies to make the ultimate allcountry skis. A new era has begun.

Rocker+Radius+Rebound=Rocker Done Right : Imagine a ski that performs for everyone, anywhere.

Head Era 3.0 is not your one-dimensional "Have a problem ? Head fix it !". It's a combination of technologies, shape and geometry.

Think rocker, think radius, think rebound. Think 3-dimensional...

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.

Various

  • Base structures UHM C  :

Very High density base for an excellent glide performance, wax retention, and resistance to abrasion.
