Alpine Ski K2 Bad Seed

Ski sold without binding.

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

If Bad Seed sounds like your kid when he's on his skis, meaning he just can't stay still and is always jumping around doing whatever he wants, once in the park, once on the pow, sometimes on pistes, it's not necessarily a bad thing, it means he's open-minded, but he probably needs better skis to cope with. He needs skis capable of dealing with his temper, a cross between well-behaved and wild. Here's the Bad Seed by K2. His new best friend. Absolutely brilliant anywhere you take it. It shreds the park, rips the piste and surfs the pow. What else ?

What our testers say : The Bad Seed isn't for everyone. The ski is demanding and requires a good level at skiing. However, if you have it, you can not dislike it. It's an amazing freestyler that floats on pow just like that, sign for fantastic sessions in the backcountry. Piste-wise, it meets any of your requirements, with a good rebound, a solid grip and a good dose of playfulness.

Structure - Construction

  • Cap Construction  :

Durable and lightweight cap skis are built by a sophisticated molding process that envelopes the core and internal materials with the top layer of the ski. Used throughout our ski line, cap constructions can be assembled with a variety of different cores. These variations, such as glass and/or metal materials, are the determining factors of the skis performance.

  • Poplar/Paulownia core  :

K2's Adventure skis use an Aspen/Paulownia blend core. Lower-density Aspen and even lighter-weight Paulownia allow us to reduce the weight that results from the added surface area of wider skis. In addition, the Bio Core is 15% lighter than the fir/aspen blend traditional in our all-mountain skis.

  • Triaxial braiding  :

Triaxial braiding consists of braiding fiberglass around a wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control. Developed in 1988 by K2 engineers, the patented triaxial braiding machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled wood core. This unique method produces skis with great torsional strength, that maintains the lively flex patterns of the wood core.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • All-Terrain Rocker  :

All-Terrain Rocker features an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions.

Simply put, All-Terrain Rocker offers versatility and ease in all snow conditions.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

Various

  • Twin-Tip  :

A symmetrical shape for a 100% freestyle ride, as efficient in switch as in regular stance.
