K2 is a brand that knows a lot about freestyle. They’ve made park and pipe specific skis for years and any rider who has been lucky enough to test them knows they rip. That is why the Press returns, because nobody wanted to see it change or disappear.

Whan can the K2 Press do?

The Press is your VIP ticket into the freestyle world and K2 entry-level ski for future park rats. Not only the ski is good value for money, but it’s lightweight, strong, fun and easy. Featuring a Cap construction, the ski is super playful and easy to move around. You’ll feel comfortable with it from the first run on whether this run is on park or on piste. The ski construction makes it very flexible and forgiving, ideally suited for newcomers willing to stomp their first tricks. The Press feels nimble and secure, it inspires creativity and any rider who’s never hit a kicker before should be landing 360’s on a regular basis by the end of the season. The K2 Press is a great freestyle-oriented ski that can handle most conditions with ease.

Who is the K2 Press designed for?

The Press is for you, your friends and for the friends of your friends. It is a ski made for riders who like to have fun together and who spend more and more time in the terrain park. Intermediate skiers or beginner freestylers will love it!

Structure - Construction

  • Cap Construction  :

Durable and lightweight cap skis are built by a sophisticated molding process that envelopes the core and internal materials with the top layer of the ski. Used throughout our ski line, cap constructions can be assembled with a variety of different cores. These variations, such as glass and/or metal materials, are the determining factors of the skis performance.

  • Poplar core  :

K2's Adventure skis use an Aspen/Paulownia blend core. Lower-density Aspen and even lighter-weight Paulownia allow us to reduce the weight that results from the added surface area of wider skis. In addition, the Bio Core is 15% lighter than the fir/aspen blend traditional in our all-mountain skis.

  • Triaxial braiding  :

Triaxial braiding consists of braiding fiberglass around a wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control. Developed in 1988 by K2 engineers, the patented triaxial braiding machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled wood core. This unique method produces skis with great torsional strength, that maintains the lively flex patterns of the wood core.

Camber type

  • Flat camber  :

Enhances ski pivot without compromising edge control on hard snow.

Technology

  • Jib Rocker  :

Featuring an elevated tip and tail with zero camber underfoot, Jib Rocker offers the best blend of playfulness for butters and surface tricks combined with enhanced pop for unmatched ollie power.

Simply put, Jib Rocker is designed for ollies, butters, and predictable pop.

Various

  • Park specific flex
  • Tip and Tail rivets  :

K2 introduced tip and tail rivets 7 years ago on the Factory Series skis. They were functionally developed for additional protection, reinforcing the tip and tail of the ski against delamination. Although function is still the primary purpose, K2 has evolved the rivets and plates into stylized components.

  • Swap Base  :

The bases of these skis can come in two different color ways, depending of how the colors are swapped on the base. This gives two looks to the same ski, and ensures you are not rocking the exact same pair as your buddy who just picked up the same pair of skis.
