Remember the movie The Performers released in 1970 by K2? Since then, the brand has always pushed riders and backed them up with solid skis. These last few years, Sean Pettit, jointly with K2’s engineers, designed the Shreditor series which became an icon in the world of freestyle/backcountry

What can the K2 Shreditor 102 do?

With that ski, K2 delivers the most versatile Shreditor ever made. It manoeuvers on groomed snow with steeze and carves pretty easily for a ski of that size. Curves are precise and the ski delivers a great rebound in between two turns. On powder, the Shreditor 102 is very enjoyable as well, you won’t need to sit back to keep the tips rising above surface. It floats naturally and steers with agility through natural obstacles. Freestylers will appreciate this agility by the way. Sending tricks off booters or when dropping a cornice is pretty appealing with the Shreditor 102 on your feet!

Who is the Shreditor 102 designed for?

The Shreditor 102 is an all-rounder suited for any intermediate and advanced skiers who want to make the most of the mountain. The ski is versatile and guarantees the best performance whatever the conditions.

What are the main assets of the K2 Shreditor 102?

Structure - Construction

  • Poplar/Paulownia core  :

K2's Adventure skis use an Aspen/Paulownia blend core. Lower-density Aspen and even lighter-weight Paulownia allow us to reduce the weight that results from the added surface area of wider skis. In addition, the Bio Core is 15% lighter than the fir/aspen blend traditional in our all-mountain skis.

  • Triaxial braiding  :

Triaxial braiding consists of braiding fiberglass around a wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control. Developed in 1988 by K2 engineers, the patented triaxial braiding machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled wood core. This unique method produces skis with great torsional strength, that maintains the lively flex patterns of the wood core.

  • TwinTech  :

This new Twin Tip specific construction process increases the durability of sidewall skis. A traditional sidewall construction produces a 90 degree angle where the top material and sidewall meet. The Twin Tech construction actually rolls the top material into the sidewall reducing the angle that is prone to abuse.

Rocker - Camber

  • All-Terrain Rocker  :

All-Terrain Rocker features an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions.

Simply put, All-Terrain Rocker offers versatility and ease in all snow conditions.

  • Swap Base  :

The bases of these skis can come in two different color ways, depending of how the colors are swapped on the base. This gives two looks to the same ski, and ensures you are not rocking the exact same pair as your buddy who just picked up the same pair of skis.

  • Tapered Tip  :

The widest point of the tip is further back on the ski, which reduces the weight of the tip and the resistance of it in soft snow.
