Line Sick Day 2017

Alpine Ski Line Sick Day Tourist

Ski sold without binding.

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Sick Day series is made of 4 skis, 4 widths. The Sick Day Tourist is the one suited for exploring the Backcountry. Its lightweight makes it stand out.

What can the Line Sick Day Tourist do?

Featuring a core made of a blend of several materials including balsa and maple woods, or carbon fibres and also featuring the Shockwall technology designed to absorb shocks and vibrations, the Sick Day is an ultra-light performer. Only 3.3kg per pair in 186. That means the whole mountain, every single spot, is now within reach with that big boy. The 102mm underfoot platform provides support and power allowing for great slash turns or landings in the deep. The Sick Day Tourist holds its own on hard snow even if its shape and construction make it excel in the backcountry.

Who is the Line Sick Day Tourist designed for?

This one is for advanced or expert skiers looking for powder at all costs. Whether the spot needs a hike, a steep drop in or a road gap to be reached, you’ll do what needs to be done. The Sick Day might be your ski.

Manufacturer info :

Touring ski category

  • FreeTouring  :

Ski designed for alpine or touring use. It’s advisable to mount a freetouring binding on it. The ski is very light which is good for the uphill bits of your tour, but it’s also very good at skiing downhill whether the snow is groomed or not.

Type of turns

  • Multi-turns

Shape

  • Directional (front tip)  :

The ski shape allows only a directional use.

Weight of the pair in grams

  • 3340 (186cm)

Structure - Construction

  • Cloud Core™  :

Futuristically blended wood and composite materials create an impossibly lightweight et solid core.

  • Shockwall  :

Incorporates a full height & length 80 durometer Elastometer sidewall over the edges to absorb vibration & shock for a smooth solid ride like a Cadillac

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Early Rise  :

Tip rise starts earlier in the ski so the tips effortlessly rise out of powder & stay on top without needing to sit back.

  • Early Taper  :

The widest point of sidecut starts tapering earlier in the tip to reduces tail drag and hooking in powder.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

Various

  • 5-Cut Geometry  :

5 different sizes of sidecut radius shapes are blended into one, for intuitive control and unlimited turn shapes.

  • Directional Flex  :

The softer tip floats & initiates turns easily while the stiffer tail provides reliable powerful turn exits, & stability.

  • Sintered Fatty Base & Edge  :

Double thickness of the edge and base : extreme resistance and durability.

    Fast sintered base.
