Say hello to Line’s new women specific freeride range, the Soulmate series, suited for skiers looking for new thrills and off-piste adventures.

What can the Line Soulmate 86 do?

The Soulmate 86 is a light and responsive quiver providing tons of edge control on hard groomed snow thanks to the 4DFibercap technology reinforcing the core and enhancing torsional stiffness. On the other hand, the 86mm waist and Thin Tip tech provides floatation and support on softer snow with a smooth progressive feel. In short, the Soulmate 86 is a ski that allows power skiing while keeping a light and responsive underfoot feel. It should easily take you to the next level and cover all your needs regardless of the conditions you encounter through your day.

Who is the Line Soulmate 86 designed for?

Easy and forgiving, the Soulmate 86 is a great match for intermediate and advanced women skiers, looking for something wide enough to allow powder progression and piste performance, without being too demanding.

Structure - Construction

  • 4D Fibercap  :

Fiberglass is layered in 4 directions (0*, 90*, 45*, -45*) around the core for the highest strength to weight ratio in every direction and an ultra lively, responsive & sensitive feel.

  • Maple Macroblock Core  :

100% maple core : this wood delivers the best ratio lightweight/strength. Better longevity for the camber and the reactivity.

  • Thin Tip™  :

Super thin core & sidewall in the tips are 100 grams lighter per pair for reduced swing weight and tip bounce.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Early Rise  :

Tip rise starts earlier in the ski so the tips effortlessly rise out of powder & stay on top without needing to sit back.

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.

Various

  • 5-Cut Geometry  :

5 different sizes of sidecut radius shapes are blended into one, for intuitive control and unlimited turn shapes.

  • Directional Flex  :

The softer tip floats & initiates turns easily while the stiffer tail provides reliable powerful turn exits, & stability.

  • Semelle Sintered Base  :

    Sintered base

The pros: These skis run beautifully, and are perfect for control and speed. The cons: They mark easily on the upper side, and would be better with protection for the tips.
