Alpine Ski Nordica NRGy 100

Ski sold without binding.

The NRGy series enters Nordica's lineup for 2015 and comes in as a range of skis featuring modern sidecuts and a revolutionary construction making the ski a lot lighter without compromising power and performance. Powered by the Torsion Bridge, the ski carries a titanal plate designed to adjust the torsional stiffnes to the skier's weight and deliver optimal NRGy!

The NRGy 100 is the widest in the line and therefore the most powder-friendly. Its tip and tail rockers enhance pivot and agility while the traditional underfoot camber keeps the ski grippy and responsive in all conditions.

What our testers say : The NRGy 100 belongs to those new and modern shaped skis with rockers and cambers. Sometimes it works and you get a blast, sometimes all you get is a weird ski not very fun to ride. Fortunately, this one belongs to the first category as we felt comfortable on it from the first run. Advanced and expert skiers will get along with it. The ski is powerful and not too demanding, we reckon it's a good pick if you're tempted to buy something wider than your skis but you're a little scared to go over 100mm.

Structure - Construction

  • iCore Ti  :

i-Core Ti (Full Woodcore) with Torsion Bridge technology has allowed us to build the next generation of All Mountain skis. Byremovingspecifically engineered geometric shapes from a full sheet of Titanal, the Torsion Bridge provides our all new NRGy skis with the performance of metal without the extra weight and sluggishness that typically comes with a traditionally constructed metal ski.

Combining this torsion bridge technology with our new exceptionally light full wood i-Core Ti core, results in a revolutionary construction that is extremely lightweight yet torsionally strong and confidence inspiring in all conditions and terrain.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

  • Camrock All Mountain  :

All Mountain camROCK technology pulls the traditional contact point of the tip back about 25% creating slight tip rocker to aid the camber under foot. The result — increased floatation, velocity and maneuverability in soft snow as well as significantly increased easy of turn initiation in any condition.

Excellent all-mountain ski. Worked well on & off piste. Used on variety of conditions hard-packed pistes to powder. It is a light ski some may prefer heavier, but I liked the light weight and used for ski touring, I would recommend this ski.
