Alpine Ski Rossignol Sassy 7

Ski sold without binding.

Making high mountain accessible to everyone. That is the mission of the Sassy 7. A ski designed to provide less experienced skiers with user-friendly powder performance. No matter how good are your skills, the ski will make them better. Its generous 90mm waist ensures effortless floatation and support while the Powder Turn Rocker (50% camber, 50% tip and tail rocker) enhances agility through the deep.

On the other hand, the ski works perfectly fine on hard and groomed snow. It's got a narrow-enough waist for quick edge to edge transfers and the cambered section ensures a strong edge hold with an enjoyable rebound. A great multitasker for a new world of opportunities.

What our testers say : Best suited to intermediate and advanced women skiers looking for lightweight ski , agile and easy to use. The Sassy 7 is extremely playful at moderate speeds, it pivots with ease and turns when it needs to. It tends to vibrate at higher speeds though and feels a little less precise. No big deal though, the Sassy 7 remains a great progression-friendly freeski!

Weight of the pair in grams

  • 3100 en 160cm

Structure - Construction

  • Air Tip  : A Patented Technology exclusive to Rossignol! The tip is air filled for maximum lightness and constructed to retain maximum torsional rigidity. The ski's weight is redistributed, freeing the tip and tail of the ski and providing greater ease, security and versatility. The fact that the center of gravity is closer to the center of the ski concentrates strength under the skier's feet. THE ROCKER REVOLUTION IS HERE!!!
  • CAP  :

Makes the turns initiation easier, provides more forgiveness.

  • Fiberglass / Wood core  :

The fiberglass structure enhances flex and stiffness, increases resistance to torsion, and improves boosts on turn exits.

The wood provides stability and rebound, eliminates vibrations, and has a great durability.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

  • Powder Turn Rocker  :

Rossignol's Powder Turn is engineered with 50% low camber underfoot while the remaining 50% of the tip and tail features high rocker. The camber underfoot delivers power, energy, and edge grip for groomed snow. The high rocker tip produces more floatation and effortless powder skiing. The high rockered tail is pin shaped to allow skier to have an efficient angle of attack providing easy steering and instant speed control. The 50/50 rocker/camber combination is the most versatile from pow to groomers.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

  • OPEN  :

OPEN models can be mounted with telemark or touring bindings.

The skis were exactly as described, and arrived within 36 hours from placing my order! Perfect lightweight skis for starting to do some off-piste, and the skis are agile and responsive on piste. The only negative is, one of my skis has a manufacturing fault on the tip, but the fault is only cosmetic, and not reflective of the shop's delivery and packaging service.
