Alpine Ski Scott Crusade

Ski sold without binding.

Offering an all-mountain ski that can glide on all terrains is one thing. Offering an all-mountain ski that can glide comfortably and effectively on all terrains is another. You'll find the Crusade in the latter category. Agile on pistes, the ski has a varying turning radius which is really handy when you're in a playful mood. It comes with a laminate triaxial and sandwich sidewall construction that gives it tons of personality. And if powder comes across your path, you can count on the rocker featured and on the 90mm waist to carry you above it. Finally, you will benefit from the Venturi Tip and Tail concept. Simply put, it helps releasing pressure on the ski and provides a better glide regardless of the snow conditions. Carve, slash and rip, the mountain is yours with the Crusade.

What our testers say: When you weigh the ski for the first time, you just don't expect it to be so powerful. Absolutely stunning. From short to long arcs on groomers, the ski performs with plenty of snap and bags of grip. And if terrain happens to change, the ski gets even happier and shows an incredible breaking power on crud, and floats gracefully over powder. The Crusade is a versatile all-mountainer for advanced and expert skiers.

Structure - Construction

  • SSC LT - Sandwich Sidewall Construction Laminate Triaxial  :

    Stability & precision.

This construction achieves torsional rigidity on wider skis. This technology delivers exceptionally strong and stable skis.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

  • Venturi Rocker tip and tail  :

Venturi-Tip Rocker combines a hollowed tip with a rocker shape. The resulting Venturi-Tip Rocker design allows for great float and better tracking, yielding a highly versatile performer in variable conditions.

  • Venturi-Tip Rocker M  :

Venturi-Tip Rocker combines a hollowed tip with a rocker shape. The resulting Venturi-Tip Rocker design allows for great float and better tracking, yielding a highly versatile performer in variable conditions.

    +Excellent float and turn initiation

+Offers stability at high speeds in all conditions

+Reduces surface pressure resulting in improved ski handling

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.

  • Dual Radius  :

Traditional skis have a fixed radius that determines the length of every turn. SCOTT skis combine two radii (dual radius) to create the sidecut or “shape” of the ski. By incorporating the Dual Radius concept, the ski can turn when you want it to turn, resulting in a more versatile ski which is not confined to one type of skiing or terrain.

  • Factory Finish  :

SCOTT skis come direct from the factory "ready to ski" with SCOTT factory finish. Every factory finished ski leaves the factory with side edges ground at 89° and base edges ground between 0.5° and 0.8° for exceptional performance. The base is finished with a micro structured CNC stone grind so you can mount your skis and hit the hill, no tuning required.

  • Pre Track  :

When developing Pre-Track, SCOTT designed skis with wide tips and/or slightly turned up tails. With Pre-Track, SCOTT skis employ a smaller effective edge for short radius turns on groomed slopes and a longer effective edge when making bigger turns or skiing off-piste. The result is a more precise, stable, reliable and versatile ski.
