Alpine Ski Scott Jib Tom Wallisch

Again, Scott releases 2 versions for the Jib. One was jointly developped with Tom Wallisch (we don't need to introduce him do we?), the Jib TW, and the other, the Jib, slightly softer, is the weapon of choice of Roz-G, the superpipe rockstar. Both feature the same revolutionary 3Dimension sidecut and the same sandwich construction. What makes the difference is the titanal insert inside the Jib TW. That makes the ski a little stiffer and therefore more powerful. It also helps stabilizing it and it resists better against shocks. The base also benefits from a high speed finish, for a better glide.Simply put, the Jib TW is the ultimate park weapon. Powerful, long-lasting and incredibly agile.

Structure - Construction

  • Woodcore with titanial  :

    Woodcores - used since ever in the ski industry - offers great performance. They provide stability and rebound, eliminate vibrations and are extremely durable.

    Titanial is a metallic alloy including aluminium. It gives precision, grip, smoothness and stability on all terrains.

     

  • SSC Lam - Sandwich Sidewall Construction Laminate  :

    Sandwich construction with slanted sidewalls, laminated reinforcements and cap finish.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

    When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

    Revolutionary technology combining 2 radius with a central straight sidecut, allowing twin rocker skis to be brilliant on off pist with an excellent edge grip on pistes.

  • Freestyle Finish  :

    Scott Freestyle Finish is especially designed for a more playful freestyle ski. The main difference from the factory finish is the bigger base edge angle of 1.6°. This larger angle makes the ski easier to spin and more forgiving on landings and rails.

  • High Speed Base  :

    Scott’s High Speed Base is a sintered ultra-high molecular weight and high wax part race base. The best combination for speed.

  • Reinforced Steel Edge  :

    Scott Freestyle skis use a durable oversized height steel edge. This reinforced steel edge is far more resistant to braking.

  • Twin-Tip  :

    A symmetrical shape for a 100% freestyle ride, as efficient in switch as in regular stance.
