Alpine Ski Scott Reverse

Ski sold without binding.

And the Reverse good as it used to be! It's a ski we like, easy to use and covering a full spectrum of abilities. The 2014 version hasn't changed much. Same profile, same sidecuts, only graphics differ and that's nice. So, what we got is an all-mountain ski that excels on groomed snow thanks to its titanal reinforcement providing snap and precision. For powder days, you can rely on the ski rocker and the 87mm wide underfoot platform (in 176) to carry you above the surface and enjoy what nature has to offer. Special mention for the Venturi tip helping to smooth out your ride and absorb any terrain changes efficiently.

What our testers say: A true all-mountain ski, as in 50% pow 50% pistes. If usually a ski that's good somewhere fails elsewhere, it's not the case for the Reverse that handles the whole mountain with style. Perfect match for advanced skiers who can't decide between freeride and alpine skiing. This ski will give you the best of both worlds, and will leave you stoked and smily. It's also a safe bet for light skiers who are looking at the Scott Crusade. The Reverse will be more adapted to them, and easier to manage.

Structure - Construction

  • Woodcore with double titanial  :

Woodcores - used since ever in the ski industry - offers great performance. They provide stability and rebound, eliminate vibrations and are extremely durable.

Titanial is a metallic alloy including aluminium. It gives precision, grip, smoothness and stability on all terrains.

  • SSC Tit - Sandwich Sidewall Construction Titanal  :

Sandwich construction with sidewall, titanial reinforcements and cap finish.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

  • Venturi-Tip Rocker S  :

Venturi-Tip Rocker combines a hollowed tip with a rocker shape. The resulting Venturi-Tip Rocker design allows for great float and better tracking, yielding a highly versatile performer in variable conditions.

    +Excellent float and turn initiation

+Offers stability at high speeds in all conditions

+Reduces surface pressure resulting in improved ski handling

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.

  • Dual Radius  :

Traditional skis have a fixed radius that determines the length of every turn. SCOTT skis combine two radii (dual radius) to create the sidecut or “shape” of the ski. By incorporating the Dual Radius concept, the ski can turn when you want it to turn, resulting in a more versatile ski which is not confined to one type of skiing or terrain.

  • Factory Finish  :

SCOTT skis come direct from the factory "ready to ski" with SCOTT factory finish. Every factory finished ski leaves the factory with side edges ground at 89° and base edges ground between 0.5° and 0.8° for exceptional performance. The base is finished with a micro structured CNC stone grind so you can mount your skis and hit the hill, no tuning required.

  • Pre Track  :

When developing Pre-Track, SCOTT designed skis with wide tips and/or slightly turned up tails. With Pre-Track, SCOTT skis employ a smaller effective edge for short radius turns on groomed slopes and a longer effective edge when making bigger turns or skiing off-piste. The result is a more precise, stable, reliable and versatile ski.
