Alpine Ski Scott Superguide 88

Ski sold without binding.

With the Mountain Skis series, Scott releases a range of skis designed to place the whole mountain within reach. Jointly developped by Scott’s engineers and mountain guides, these ultra-light skis perform up and downhill in all conditions.

What can the Scott Superguide 88 do?

This ski redefines lightweight and makes every single spot accessible. Climbing with it is effortless and enjoyable. Reaching the summit without killing your legs makes everything a lot more exciting! On the downhill, the ski turns into a full performer. Reinforced with carbon and kevlar, the Superguide 88 feels powerful and doesn’t mind speed. Its 88mm waist offers all-terrain versatility with a strong breaking power on rough terrains, quick edge transfers on the hardpack and solid support on soft snow. The rockered tip makes turn initiations smooth and predictable and maximises floatation on powder while the 3D sidecuts improve manoeuverability allowing consistent performance regardless of the conditions. The Superguide 88 is a wonderful touring ski that adapts to any terrain and style for the joy of most skiers out there.

Who is the Scott Superguide 88 designed for?

Interesting performance, stunning weight. This is how we describe the Superguide 88. We recomment it to freetourers who want something that can handle any terrain you might encounter during long tours, but something that won’t kill you when climbing.

Structure - Construction

  • Tip to tail woodcore  :

The long woodcore gives the ski a more consistent flex and more fluidity through transitions.

  • SSCL Carbon E  :

TECHNOLOGY & EXPERIENCE - SCOTT’s SSCL Carbon is a result of a carbon experience and heritage. The combination of a sandwich wood core construction with carbon laminates results in a lightweight performance construction ideally suited for ski touring.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

  • Pro-Tip 320 mm  :

By incorporating a progressive tip height radius, SCOTT skis simply track better than the competition. SCOTT's Pro-Tip produces a more consistent ski flex and predictable turns. Pro-Tip is available in three heights 300mm (Precision On-Piste), 350mm (All-Mountain) and 375mm (Full Freeride). Tip Rocker 320 mm.

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.

  • 3D Sidecut  :

Revolutionary technology combining 2 radius with a central straight sidecut, allowing twin rocker skis to be brilliant on off pist with an excellent edge grip on pistes.

  • Factory Finish  :

SCOTT skis come direct from the factory "ready to ski" with SCOTT factory finish. Every factory finished ski leaves the factory with side edges ground at 89° and base edges ground between 0.5° and 0.8° for exceptional performance. The base is finished with a micro structured CNC stone grind so you can mount your skis and hit the hill, no tuning required.
