Description

Scott’ Superguide series was a relief for many tourers as it brought lightweight performance and great skiing abilities altogether in one ski. These superlight, stiff and stable touring skis are as efficient at climbing as they are at skiing. And when it comes to charging down steeps covered of fresh pow, the Superguide 95 does rather well with its 95mm platform (in 178cm) and its rocker both keeping it afloat with elegance.

What can the Scott Superguide 95 touring ski do?

It’s a super light ski that integrates carbon and kevlar in its construction which, in other words, results in a responsive and lively ski. The 2017 Superguide 95 weighs between 1370g and 1530g depending on the length you pick and that’s not much! With such skis on your feet, you can ride uphill without wearing yourself out too fast and long tours spread over days are not a problem at all. Physically undemanding, the Superguide 95 is a serious climber and feels ok to face the hill and go straight to the peak while minimising the number of turns. In ski mode, when the tips point downhill, the ski has nothing to be ashamed of. The stiff construction with the Elliptic slanted sidewalls makes the ski responsive and very efficient in tight and steep conditions. It performs well, it feels nimble, grippy and strong despite its lightweight. But the best thing to do with the Superguide 95 is go out on powder and surf it until there are no more room for laying a track. It floats ridiculously well and manoeuvers effortlessly in all conditions.

Who is the Scott Superguide 95 touring ski designed for?

This Scott touring ski was designed with sporty advanced and expert skiers in mind. Those who like when it’s steep and long. If you were looking for the ski that could take to every summit that surrounds you, the Superguide 95 is a safe pick. Ridden by many professionals, it has proven to be efficient and reliable.

Tips and advice

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Your options:

1. The advanced search engine: You'll find it everywhere on our website, as a sidebar on our listing pages. It allows you to select conditions and refine your selection: brand, level, style, etc. When you select them, only the relevant products will show.

2. You can contact us on the 020 3129 3301: skis feature fine technologies and affect your safety. It is important to make sure that the skis you've selected will suit you. Call our landline and get in touch with our team for any questions regarding these products.

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

- by our skiman : you can call us for any technical questions. Our skiman will do the final settings for you. Telephone : 020 3129 3301

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
