Alpine Ski Scott Superguide 95

Ski sold without binding.

Scott’ Superguide series was a relief for many tourers as it brought lightweight performance and great skiing abilities altogether in one ski. These superlight, stiff and stable touring skis are as efficient at climbing as they are at skiing. And when it comes to charging down steeps covered of fresh pow, the Superguide 95 does rather well with its 95mm platform (in 178cm) and its rocker both keeping it afloat with elegance.

What can the Scott Superguide 95 touring ski do?

It’s a super light ski that integrates carbon and kevlar in its construction which, in other words, results in a responsive and lively ski. The 2017 Superguide 95 weighs between 1370g and 1530g depending on the length you pick and that’s not much! With such skis on your feet, you can ride uphill without wearing yourself out too fast and long tours spread over days are not a problem at all. Physically undemanding, the Superguide 95 is a serious climber and feels ok to face the hill and go straight to the peak while minimising the number of turns. In ski mode, when the tips point downhill, the ski has nothing to be ashamed of. The stiff construction with the Elliptic slanted sidewalls makes the ski responsive and very efficient in tight and steep conditions. It performs well, it feels nimble, grippy and strong despite its lightweight. But the best thing to do with the Superguide 95 is go out on powder and surf it until there are no more room for laying a track. It floats ridiculously well and manoeuvers effortlessly in all conditions.

Who is the Scott Superguide 95 touring ski designed for?

This Scott touring ski was designed with sporty advanced and expert skiers in mind. Those who like when it’s steep and long. If you were looking for the ski that could take to every summit that surrounds you, the Superguide 95 is a safe pick. Ridden by many professionals, it has proven to be efficient and reliable.

Manufacturer info :

Touring ski category

  • Allround Touring  :

Designed for experienced tourers. The ski is pretty narrow and light which makes climbing with skins easier and less tiring. Touring skis can also perform well on the downhill regardless of the type of snow.

Type of turns

  • Long turns

Shape

  • Directional (front tip)  :

The ski shape allows only a directional use.

Weight of the pair in grams

  • 2900 (178cm)

Structure - Construction

  • Tip to tail woodcore  :

The long woodcore gives the ski a more consistent flex and more fluidity through transitions.

  • SSCL Carbon E  :

TECHNOLOGY & EXPERIENCE - SCOTT’s SSCL Carbon is a result of a carbon experience and heritage. The combination of a sandwich wood core construction with carbon laminates results in a lightweight performance construction ideally suited for ski touring.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Pro-Tip 320 mm  :

By incorporating a progressive tip height radius, SCOTT skis simply track better than the competition. SCOTT's Pro-Tip produces a more consistent ski flex and predictable turns. Pro-Tip is available in three heights 300mm (Precision On-Piste), 350mm (All-Mountain) and 375mm (Full Freeride). Tip Rocker 320 mm.

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.

Various

  • 3D Sidecut  :

Revolutionary technology combining 2 radius with a central straight sidecut, allowing twin rocker skis to be brilliant on off pist with an excellent edge grip on pistes.

  • Factory Finish  :

SCOTT skis come direct from the factory "ready to ski" with SCOTT factory finish. Every factory finished ski leaves the factory with side edges ground at 89° and base edges ground between 0.5° and 0.8° for exceptional performance. The base is finished with a micro structured CNC stone grind so you can mount your skis and hit the hill, no tuning required.

  • Skin strap system  :

Fast and easy skin strap system for all weather conditions
