Alpine Ski Scott The Ski

Ski sold without binding.

Scott unveils their new Sun Valley lineup, including all-terrain skis blending innovation and performance wrapped in a vintage look.

What can the Scott The Ski do?

With such a name, you’d think Scott is suffering from megalomania. Creating a ski called The Ski, as if it was the best ski ever made, seems a bit overconfident. But it’s actually close to reality and after trying it, we thought the name suits it quite well. Plus, considering how successful it was last year, The Ski’s notoriety seems legit. The Ski is highly versatile and works on piste as well as on powder. It’s hard to say where it works best because it works best everywhere. It delivers a stunning edge grip on groomed snow with a powerful energy return out of turns. The 88mm waist (size 155cm) offers lightning fast edge to edge transfers and the ski arcs with precision. The more you bend your knees, the better the ski performs. On powder, same story. The Ski feels a bit demanding though but it remains very playful. The 3D sidecuts offer tons of agility while the rockered tip prevents you from sinking in the pow. If versatility had to have a name, it would be: The Ski.

Who is the Scott The Ski designed for?

The Ski is a multitasker highly recommended to any advanced skier looking for progression, or any expert skier looking for a joy machine. Use it every day, in every conditions, on any spot, you won’t regret it.

Structure - Construction

  • Sandwich construction  :

Sandwich construction is part of a quality ski. This construction layers different materials chosen for their physical characteristics depending on the characteristics needed for the ski.

  • Tip to tail woodcore  :

The long woodcore gives the ski a more consistent flex and more fluidity through transitions.

  • SSCL E  : VERSATILITY & PERFORMANCE - SCOTT’s Elliptical Sandwich construction offers exceptional torsional stiffness while providing a consistent and confident flex, delivering precise edge control.

Rocker - Camber

  • Pro-Tip 320 mm  :

By incorporating a progressive tip height radius, SCOTT skis simply track better than the competition. SCOTT's Pro-Tip produces a more consistent ski flex and predictable turns. Pro-Tip is available in three heights 300mm (Precision On-Piste), 350mm (All-Mountain) and 375mm (Full Freeride). Tip Rocker 320 mm.

  • 3D Sidecut  :

Revolutionary technology combining 2 radius with a central straight sidecut, allowing twin rocker skis to be brilliant on off pist with an excellent edge grip on pistes.

  • Factory Finish  :

SCOTT skis come direct from the factory "ready to ski" with SCOTT factory finish. Every factory finished ski leaves the factory with side edges ground at 89° and base edges ground between 0.5° and 0.8° for exceptional performance. The base is finished with a micro structured CNC stone grind so you can mount your skis and hit the hill, no tuning required.

  • Pre Track  :

When developing Pre-Track, SCOTT designed skis with wide tips and/or slightly turned up tails. With Pre-Track, SCOTT skis employ a smaller effective edge for short radius turns on groomed slopes and a longer effective edge when making bigger turns or skiing off-piste. The result is a more precise, stable, reliable and versatile ski.
