Alpine Ski Whitedot Ranger 98

Ski sold without binding.

You may know the Ranger by Whitedot. Here’s its little brother the Ranger 98, designed to climb the mountain before tearing it into pieces. The ski is a free touring monster intended for skiers who like spending time in the ungroomed kingdom.

What can the WHITEDOT Ranger 98 do?

Weighing only 1,700 gramms per ski, making it to the peak has never been so easy with a Ranger. If you want to go look for new spots where no one has left a track yet, you can and you should. The ski is a blessing, it moves through the mountain with ease and feels good anywhere you bring it. It has a rockered tip keeping you afloat on the deep while its generous sidecuts offer plenty of support and control on powder. Whitedot gave the ski a long turning radius to ensure optimal stability at high speed without compromising its agility. Indeed, the ski remains nimble and can manoeuver through the trees if you are technical enough. And if you want to cruise the piste with your friends for a while, that’s alright, the ski works well on groomed snow, it feels responsive and delivers precision and good energy transmissions.

Who is the WHITEDOT Ranger 98 designed for?

Suitable for intermediate and advanced skiers, the Ranger 98 is a freetouring ski, light and enjoyable on all terrains. Its tail feels pretty soft which is a good thing for light or small skiers. If you’re bigger than average, don’t hesitate to pick a longer length than usual.

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.
