We offer skis for sale with defects in appearance. They are new, guaranteed by the manufacturer and have no construction-manufacturing defects. The silkscreen has been scratched during transport or storage in our warehouse. A condition classification has been established: This ski has been classified as 3*, i.e. it has only minor defects. Please note that these skis have been recapped after initial drilling.

Like the entire ARV range, the ARV 96 benefits from a construction optimized for freestyle: bispatulated shape to be able to switch and reinforced edges to resist impacts on the rails. A light, toned poplar and ash core delivers explosive pop while maintaining playability on the tips. With the addition of a double rocker and 96 mm at the base, this is a ski that works well in powder and pivots easily whatever the terrain. On piste and in the park, the ski retains its dynamism, maneuverability and grip, even if it clearly lacks the precision of a slalom ski. At the same time, we couldn't care less about slalom, except perhaps in the powder between the fir trees! The ARV 96 will let you throw anything you can think of, whether in the park, on the slopes or in normal backcountry conditions. Its only limit will be very deep snow, where it will struggle a little with flotation compared to its big brother the ARV 116.

What kind of skis should I buy ?

On glisshop.co.uk, you may feel overwhelmed by the amount of products we sell. How can you find the right skis, which ones can suit your level, your style or your budget?

Do you fit the bindings on skis?

During the process or your order, we'll ask you to complete a form about the mounting of your bindings. With these details, we will be able to mount the bindings with the correct settings. The release value of the bindings is set by a professional skiman, and according to the norm AFNOR FD S 52-748.

If you don't have your own ski boots when you order, the bindings will be pre-mounted. The final settings can be done :

- by a shop if you are renting your ski boots

Are the skis ready to use?

All skis you purchase on our website are factory-waxed and tuned. This means they are ready to hit the slopes. However, gear tends to wear and in order to keep it in its best shape, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

Maintaining your skis is essential for a smooth glide and a solit grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your skis, or on how damaged they are. We recommend you to wax them every 10 riding days and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't overdo it. Tuning is basically scraping off material. If you do it too often, the edges will vanish after some time.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge sharpeners, etc. You can find them on our website.

Is the equipment under guarantee?

All products benefit from a manufacturer guarantee, as long as the damage is caused by a manufacturing defect (may it be hidden or obvious).

Usually, the manufacturer guarantee lasts two years.

Only the manufacturer is able to decide if there has been a 'manufacturing defect' or a 'misuse'. Glisshop is only an intermediary between you and the manufacturer.

The manufacturer's guarantee will not apply if the problem comes from a misuse.
