He is the star of the Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld where he was presented for the first time. The latest addition to the Speedmax range, this new 3D offers innovative concepts and retains all the best of the previous versions.
What are the characteristics of the Fischer Speedmax 3D Skate Plus Medium cross-country ski?
Let's start with the new features! This new 3D name comes from the fact that the Speedmax skis are now equipped with three sides in terms of soles, the "normal" sole as well as the edges. The latter are now waxable with liquid wax, which is now widely used in racing. This adds a hydrophobic surface treatment to the edges and prevents the snow from sticking to them, as is often the case on a ski designed for these conditions. As for the rest, Fischer has kept the technologies in place, Cold Base Bonding, this well-known cold base bonding process has the effect of having less impact on the molecules of the base during assembly. This makes the sole much more versatile, especially on sudden changes in snow conditions. The core remains honeycombed with the famous Fischer carbon cover. This very light structure ensures a very present dynamism at the end of thrust as well as a very good lateral rigidity to avoid ski deformation during thrust. The Medium version can be chosen in different configurations, either for a small ski that wants a ski with a little length or for soft snow conditions, where a Stiff camber will not be the most efficient. This type of camber is very well suited to the slightly deep transformed snow found at the end of the season. The Plus sole is the most versatile in the Fischer range, with a range from -5°C and above. The IFP plate is adapted to Turnamic bindings, compatible with NNN, Prolink and Turnamic shoe standards. The Speedmax 3D Skate Plus Medium is a soft, forgiving and high performance ski that has already proven itself at the highest level.
Caution! Fischer skis are delivered pre-waxed to protect the soles during transport. It is therefore normal that you find soles with paraffin and the ski must be scraped at home before the first use.

It is a ski made for connoisseurs and regular users, its new 3D design is a detail aimed at optimizing performance, especially for the type of snow for which the Medium is made. It is a good model for skiers looking for a pair with a different camber that lends itself to certain types of snow or simply for a small skier who will not have the use of a Stiff camber.
