Description

The brand new flagship of the Fischer range presented at the Seefeld World Championships has already been the subject of much discussion and has already collected its share of medals along the way. This particular version benefits from a special camber and the latest Fischer innovations including the 3D concept.

What are the characteristics of the Fischer Speedmax 3D Skate Plus Xtra Stiff cross-country ski?

Let's start with Fischer's novelty, the 3D concept. This manufacturing process consists in integrating the sole material at the edges and therefore the possibility of waxing them. Be careful, the sole on the edges being much thinner than under the ski, it must be waxed only with liquid and especially not with iron. Liquid waxing is nowadays the trend on races and on the world cup. Waxing the edges with liquid wax is like applying a hydrophobic treatment so that the snow does not stick to them, but also so that they do not suck on slightly deep snow. The second particularity of this model is its camber, the higher and longer it is made for the most compact snow or the most powerful jigs. Extremely responsive underfoot, it also benefits from the Fischer mounting process with a honeycomb core covered by a carbon cover. Highly efficient during the relaunch phase and at the end of the push, it becomes technical when it comes to stacking its weight after the ski has been put on. We can't blame it for this very playful and lively character, all the more so as it's a weapon for cutting the piste on hard snow! Powerful skiers should really like the concept! The Cold Base Bonding technology is of course always present and gives the ski a more even and versatile glide on changes in snow. The respect of the molecular integrity of the sole of this technology has already proven itself over the last few seasons and offers a fantastic quality of glide in direct trace. The plus sole is suitable for snow temperatures above -5°C and with its character it makes damage on transformed snow very compact. Equipped with the IFP mounting plate, it adapts to Turnamic bindings, compatible with boots under NNN, Prolink and Turnamic standards. Atypical, particularly efficient and playful, this is the little extra novelty we are happy to present to you!

Attention ! Fischer skis are delivered pre-waxed to protect the soles during transport. It is therefore normal that you find soles with paraffin and the ski must be scraped at home before the first use.

Who is the Fischer Speedmax 3D Skate Plus Xtra Stiff cross-country ski intended for?

If you have read the previous paragraph, you will have understood that its exclusive character makes it a ski for experienced skiers looking for an over-vitaminated camber for compact snow. Powerful skiers or big skiers will also be happy to find a ski that lives under their feet, allowing them to exploit all their qualities. The Plus sole is by far Fischer's most versatile ski, making it an everyday ski if you belong to the above-mentioned skier categories.

What are the main qualities of the Fischer Speedmax 3D Skate Plus Xtra Stiff cross-country ski?
