The best that's within the reach of the greatest number of people, here's how the latest Fischer skin classic can be presented. It has all the Speedmax technologies with the added bonus of the ease of use of a ski with skins.
What are the characteristics of the Fischer Speedmax 3D Twin Skin Medium cross-country ski?
Identical in all respects to the Speedmax race waxing ski, this version has the advantage of offering the Fischer skin system to make access to very high-end classic skis less restricted and without what some will call the constraint of waxing restraint. The Air Core HM Carbon structure is made of a honeycomb core covered with a high modulus carbon plating manufactured by FIscher. This structure ensures the dynamism of the ski with the elastic properties of carbon, but also the good lateral stiffness essential for track changes and turning steps. The latest Fischer technology is also in the game, the 3D concept, this manufacturing process consists of placing not one sole area under the skis, but three, because the edges are made of the same material. It is therefore possible to wax the skis on the edges, but only with liquid because the thickness is much less than the thickness of the bottom sole. This technology already proven on the World Cup last season has a real advantage, and all the more so in classic because the skis rub in the tracks, so you certainly win in gliding! The camber Medium is made for universal use and the ski will be as comfortable in compact snow as on soft snow. It promotes fast and precise grip without requiring large supports that anchor a little too much snow. The sole is of course equipped with the Cold Base Bonding process, which ensures better wax hold and superior gliding versatility on snow changes. The Twin Skin system made of two separate Mohair skins provides excellent grip and its two-part design does not penalize gliding. The two-piece IFP plate system is made for Turnamic bindings, compatible with NNN, Prolink and Turnamic boot standards.
Caution! Fischer skis are delivered pre-waxed to protect the soles during transport. It is therefore normal that you find soles with paraffin and the ski must be scraped at home before first use.
