Which classic roller ski to choose for summer?

The classic roller skis are longer than those for skating. To imitate the practice of traditional cross-country skiing they are equipped with an anti-rollback inserted into a wheel that reproduces the grip of scales, skins or retention wax.

The roller skis from IDT offer incredible stability. With their wider than average wheels, they make it easier to balance. Theanti-rollback at the rear allows it to be very accessible and does not require an impeccable technical level. They are also very safe, avoiding contact between the roller skis and the road surface thanks to the aluminium frame and its fastening system located underneath.

The KV + brand has three models of roller ski. The first (the Falco) is made of composite material and reproduces, as closely as possible, the sensations of distortion of the camber of a ski during the thrust phases, it is ideal for experienced skiers. The second, the Launch Classic, is made of aluminium, it allows true and direct balance. Very tolerant, it is ideal for finding its bearings. The third is intended for children so that they too can practise roller skiing. The model is similar to the Launch Classic. It is slightly shorter to make it more manageable.

What equipment is needed to practise roller skiing?

You can use equipment that is similar to that used in winter. The boots and poles are the same. For better grip during the arm thrust phase, you can change your baskets and use roller ski spikes. Do not forget to wear a helmet in case there is an accident.
