Description

The Simon Fourcade Nordic LF Start Small Waxing Kit is a maintenance set for your Nordic skis, developed for waxing your skis. It also includes products from the brand Start. 

4 60g blocks of wax 

LF2 White is at home when conditions are warm and humid. The presence of fluorine provides a hydrophobic treatment to the base, improving glide on wet snow. It is also used as a base for an HF wax for competition. 

  • For racing and training use  
  • Application: Hot, using a waxing iron  
  • Melting temperature: 110 °C  
  • Scrape with a plastic scraper  
  • Brush with fine brass and soft nylon  

LF4 Red: The Start LF4 Red wax is used for training on snow around 0°C. The presence of fluorine improves moisture evacuation under the base for excellent glide during training. 

LF6 Purple: The Start LF6 Purple glide wax is applied when conditions are between -2 and -7°C with moderate humidity. It is also a very good base for an HF wax for a race. 

LF8 Blue: The Start LF8 wax is an excellent training wax. Designed for low humidity conditions and between -7 and -12°C, it improves glide quality thanks to the fluorine agent it contains. 


Groove Scraper: This waxing accessory is essential for clearing the grooves of your skis. It is recommended to do this operation just after the ironing. The wax being still hot, it will be easier to remove without risking scratching the base if you happen to go out of the groove. 

The thin side is suitable for skis with two grooves and the wide side for those with only one. 


3mm Plastic Scraper: The plastic scraper is used to remove the layer of wax during waxing. The 3mm thickness is perfect for hot and greasy wax. Before using the scraper, remember to clear your grooves. 


Combi Nylon / Brass Brush: Brushing is done after scraping. This step removes fine paraffin particles still present on the base. This combi brush can be used alone. The Brass side allows for deep removal of paraffin still present on the base, and the Nylon side takes care of polishing. Be careful to use the brush in the same direction with the Brass part first. Brushing is always done in the direction of glide.
