The narrowest ski in our Madshus range still has pretty generous lines that are adapted to ultra-versatile uses. Narrower than its siblings, the Epoch and Annum, it is also more at home on the flat.
What are the features of the Madshus Eon 62 backcountry ski?
Extremely well placed in terms of sidecuts for uses from crossing plateaux to enjoying descents, the Eon 62 is above all a ski designed for use on terrains that are not very uneven. The reason is very simple: the larger models are easier in descent, particularly for Telemark skiing. In terms of bindings you can connect it to whatever you like, although for us it is obvious that it will gain even more versatility if it has 75 mm norm binding, as this will help with lateral control of the ski in descent. The metal edges along the entire length of the ski ensure adequate grip in descent. When it comes to grip in ascent, the Omnitrack scales ensure adequate grip as long as you stay on accessible terrain, if not then don’t hesitate to equip it with skins.
Who is the Madshus Eon 62 backcountry ski aimed at?
With this ski, it will above all be a question of what you plan to do, since in terms of level it is accessible to all. You simply need to start off on the basis that it is very versatile but is not the best adapted to Telemark skiing down big slopes. Nevertheless, it expresses itself best in small valleys, since its sidecuts still allow you to get very satisfying feelings downhill as long as you stay within gentle slopes. It’s a ski ideal for beginning practice with and to have a product that will follow your evolution in the following seasons without holding you back.

Engineered with five zones, the Omnitrak® base uses round, spaced scales in transition zones for a smoother, more efficient glide and sharp, tight scales underfoot for maximum grip.
Multicore is a highly durable Madshus wood core laminated together to enhance the camber lifetime of the ski. Multicore gives extra strength and liveliness to the ski, and it is shaped to fit the ski profile, minimizing the excess use of glue in the ski's production.
