There’s a wind of change in Salomon’s 2018 lineup with the addition of the S/Race range. This race-specific line of boots targets a wider crowd of skiers than the Lab series does and offers great technical features at a much lower price point.
What are the specifications of the Salomon S/Race Classic Prolink ski boot?
The first change you will notice is the new cosmetics providing the line with a fresher look, mirroring the colours of the S/Lab series. Technically speaking, the main differences come from the materials used on the outer part of the boot. Featuring a narrow-fitted liner, the boot delivers outstanding energy transmissions and high precision and control. The Quicklace closure system delivers an efficient and consistent hold while the heel strap enhances stability and keeps the foot locked in. Coupled with a carbon chassis, the whole boot feels great through glide phases and delivers stability and response. We sell it in Prolink standard to make it more compatible with bindings as this boot also works with NNN and Turnamic standards. Only the SNS and SNS Pilot won’t work with the boot. The boot sole is thin and offers a nice contact feel with the foot as well as a better roll. If it’s comfort you’re looking for, the S/Race Classic has your needs covered.
Who is the Salomon S/Race Classic Prolink ski boot designed for?
We recommend it to passionate skiers with skills looking for a precise and comfortable boot for classic skiing. This S/Race boot is the upper end of Salomon’s lineup. Whether you’re into competitions or you just want a tech boot able to perform, the S/Race will make you happy.
