Alpine Ski Black Crows Camox Freebird

Black Crows works hard on the pursuit of happiness and keeps upgrading its skis for it. The Camox Freebird returns completely redesigned to deliver a better skiability and more fun.

What can the Black Crows Camox Freebird do?

The 2016 Camox Freebird comes with a new profile and offers more comfort. The ski performs better on hard snow thanks to new ABS sidewalls, a flat tail and higher rockers running through the tips. On powder the ski remains nimble and floaty, it manoeuvers with ease and pivots effortlessly on the deep. Another upgrade this season is the number of lengths available. Black Crows is making more to help every skier to find the ski that matches her size and needs. The Camox Freebird is definitely an outstanding all-mountain ski offering thriving performance on deep or hard snow alike. The ski gobbles up any obstacle that stands on its way and does it with style.

Who is the Black Crows Camox Freebird designed for?

Weighing 3150 gramms for the pair in 171cm, the new Caomx Freebird is a light ski suited for advanced skiers looking for excellent downhill performance with uphill opportunities in case you like skinning up. Expert or hard charging riders might find the ski too mellow and may want something stiffer.

  • FreeTouring  :

Ski designed for alpine or touring use. It’s advisable to mount a freetouring binding on it. The ski is very light which is good for the uphill bits of your tour, but it’s also very good at skiing downhill whether the snow is groomed or not.

Type of turns

  • Long turns

Shape

  • Directional (front tip)  :

The ski shape allows only a directional use.

Weight of the pair in grams

Structure - Construction

  • Freebird Gene 2  :

The bird gene in wide version. Specific combination for wide skis : Paulownia wood with Bird Carbon : tri-directional + bi- directional. Light for the ascent, vivacious for the descent. Optimal lightweight.

Technology

  • Single beak and a half  : progressive rocker in the tip, camber underfoot, slightly raised tail.

  • Print Base  :

Best for touring, freestyling and all-mountain riding.
