Alpine Ski Head WC Rebels IGSR

To ride like a champion when you only ski one or two weeks a year is now doable thanks to the Head WC Rebels iGSR, a high range ski with a racing design. This alpine ski is endowed with most of the pro model technologies while being accessible.

What can the Head WC Rebels iGSR ski do?

This version of the  iGSR is clearly shaped to slay big lines at max speed. This ski will be a real toy for all skiers looking to have sensations like a giant champion. You will need few runs to tamed to this beast that just wants to attack the slopes and gun down the hill at Mach 2. You will discover how easy it is to handle and have fun with it. Skis that powerful accessible to the wide public are pretty rare. On top of that, the WC Rebels iGSR is not too demanding and you won’t need the physical condition of a world champion to be able to ride it. You will take confidence and push harder one run after another and have a blast carving and pushing the WC Rebels iGSR to its limits. Not sure you will find them.

Who is the Head WC Rebels iGSR ski designed for?

We advice this giant ski to confirmed skiers who love slaying big lines, and are looking for a powerful ski with a racing look without being too demanding. Even if it is incredibly stiff and stable, the WC Rebels iGSR might be a little too forgiving for ex pro racers who will probably prefer even more lively models.

What are the main assets of the Head WC Rebels iGSR ski?

Type of turns

  • Multi-turns

  • Directional (front tip)  :

The ski shape allows only a directional use.

Structure - Construction

  • Construction Worldcup Sandwich  :

Sandwich construction used for Worldcup skis.

  • KERS  :

Skis experience maximum flex at the end of a turn. At this moment the energy is released into the fibers of the tail. The tail of the ski then stiffens up, immediately increasing rebound for maximum acceleration at the end of the outturn.

HEAD KERS Technology is an evolution of the idea behind HEAD’s Intelligence Technology. In addition KERS does not influence the torsional stiffness of the ski, KERS empowers the skis’ longitudinal flex. Also KERS Technology is based on a completely new design capable of accumulating power and keeping it in store for the right moment.

Piezoelectric fibers transform kinetic energy into electrical energy which is stored. Electrical energy is immediately released to areas of the ski, where additional energy is requested. Timing and release are automatically controlled and coordinated. Depending on the flex pattern of different ski models, sensors are programmed beforehand: the more aggressive the ski has to be, the stiffer the tail will become.

  • Intelligence Technology  :

Intellifibers positioned at 45° in front of the binding transform mechanical impulses into electrical energy. The harder you ride, the more energy is produced.

The electrical energy is led back to the Intellifibers. This causes them to stiffen up, putting more rebound and torsional stiffness into the ski.

Their 45° position in front of the binding increases the ski’s torsional stiffness, pushing the edge into the snow in hard turns.

Intelligence progressively stabilizes the entire ski at high speeds.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Rocker type

  • No rocker

  • Powerrail Pro  :

Modular System : The PowerRail System was built modularly to match any rider’s needs. Covering all segments with choices of Standard or Pro bases and dampeners in different widths for perfect ski fitting. PowerRail suits sole lengths between 260 and 380 mm.

Natural Flex : To ensure unhindered natural flex the PowerRail base is mounted with one pair of fixed screws and three pairs of free gliding screws. This way the base smoothly adapts to the flex of the ski.

Double The Flex : The PowerRail Pro base is equipped with an additional freeflex band, linking the toothed areas at the toe and heel side of the base, allowing toe and heel pieces to glide unhindered. The double freeflex function ensures even more freedom, safety, and performance.

Long-Term Performance : Each toe and heel guide can be exchanged or fitted separately, ensuring full functionality even after massive rental use.

Better Power Transmission : PowerRail bases are 7% wider and 25% lower than Railflex II bases, directly improving power transmission from boot to edge.
