Alpine Ski K2 Domain

Let’s go for another season with the K2 Domain, the freestyle ski perfectly symmetrical. The tip rocker is slightly pronounced to offer a maximum effective edge and enjoy a perfect  carve in pipe and snow park. The pop has been boosted with a pronounced classic camber and a 100% poplar core. The Domain didn’t changed much, it is still versatile and has a 90mm waist.

What can the K2 Domain do?

Strap on, with this super popped freestyle ski you are going to fly on the first kicker. The K2 Domain is design for epic park and jib session. It is super handy and has a symmetrical flex developed for an intense freestyle use. Riding straight or in switch it keeps the same performance, you can pop ollies, press and butters everywhere. Pretty light, it is the absolute weapon to send big rotations and attempt new tricks. Its wide waist facilitates the smooth landings and its triaxial fiber construction gives great stability. It is as playful on slopes and as it is on flat.

Who is the K2  Domain designed for?

It is a freestyle park ski easy to handle and forgiving. The K2 Domain has great arguments to seduce freestyler of every level. Intermediate skiers will have fun and improve their technique and their tricks while the confirmed to expert skier will shred the park.

What are the main assets of the K2 Domain ?

True twin

Explosive pop

Manufacturer info :

Type of turns

  • Long turns

Shape

  • Bidirectional (twin tip)  :

The ski shape allows to ski forward or backward.

Structure - Construction

  • Triaxial braiding  :

Triaxial braiding consists of braiding fiberglass around a wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control. Developed in 1988 by K2 engineers, the patented triaxial braiding machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled wood core. This unique method produces skis with great torsional strength, that maintains the lively flex patterns of the wood core.

  • TwinTech  :

This new Twin Tip specific construction process increases the durability of sidewall skis. A traditional sidewall construction produces a 90 degree angle where the top material and sidewall meet. The Twin Tech construction actually rolls the top material into the sidewall reducing the angle that is prone to abuse.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Jib Rocker  :

Featuring an elevated tip and tail with zero camber underfoot, Jib Rocker offers the best blend of playfulness for butters and surface tricks combined with enhanced pop for unmatched ollie power.

Simply put, Jib Rocker is designed for ollies, butters, and predictable pop.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

Various

  • Park specific flex
  • Swap Base  :

The bases of these skis can come in two different color ways, depending of how the colors are swapped on the base. This gives two looks to the same ski, and ensures you are not rocking the exact same pair as your buddy who just picked up the same pair of skis.

  • Twin-Tip  :

A symmetrical shape for a 100% freestyle ride, as efficient in switch as in regular stance.
