Alpine Ski K2 Konic 75

K2 are unveiling their new all-mountain range which they named the iKonic series. The skis have inheritated of the best features from their predecessors and blend them together to deliver smooth performance through the whole mountain. The K2 Konic 75 is the narrowest ski in the line and makes the whole mountain accessible to most skiers.

What can the K2 Konic 75 do?

The ski is far more forgiving than its bigger brother and a lot easier to move around the resort. From greens to blacks, it handles all terrains and conditions with ease, you can even have a go on the side of the piste and enjoy it. Featuring a Catch Free rocker for more fluidity, easier turn initiations and smoother exits, the Konic 75 feels like there’s an integrated autopilot option, even at low/moderate speed the ski manoeuvers effortlessly. Don’t try to push it too fast though, it’s not a racing ski and expert skiers may want something a little stiffer. The ski tends to skid easily at high speed. We recommend it for a recreational all-mountain use. If you look for pure performance, have a look at the iKonic 85 instead.

Who is the K2 Konic 75 designed for?

K2 made that ski to help inexperienced skiers to progress in variable conditions. The ski feels soft and easy, it inspires confidence and will help you make it to the next level. It is perfectly suited to work on your technique while having fun. Highly recommended.

What are the main assets of the K2 Konic 75 ?

Structure - Construction

  • Konic Technology  : Revolutionary core design that redistributes weight to the ski's perimeter providing power, strength and stability directly over the edge for performance, while reducing swing-weight from the center and extremities for added ease and control.
  • Composite core  :

high quality core made of composite materials. Very secure and forgiving.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

  • Catch Free Rocker  :

Designed to give confidence to beginner skiers by providing more control and easiness. The tip and tail are both raised which makes turn initiations easier at low speed, and increase stability and control.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

  • K2/M2 System  :

K2/M2 is the ultimate binding system ski/plate/binding, designed for performance and leisure.

I was looking for a good quality skis for a beginner which would be quite forgiving and offer a relaxed skiing experience. These skis provide exactly that. They are very light and they also look great. I'm very happy with the purchase. The Customer Service of Glisshop is excellent, very helpful and attentive staff - a small issue I had with the ski poles / baskets was resolved swiftly. I will definitely come back in the future.
