Alpine Ski K2 Konic 75

The Konic 75 is the most manageable ski in K2’s all-mountain lineup. Its CAP construction offers tons of forgiveness and a smooth feel, enhanced by a composite core bringing added flexibility and playfulness.

What can the K2 Konic 75 do?

If it does belong to the all-mountain category, the Konic 75 does prefer to ride on groomed snow. The 75mm underfoot platform makes it the slimmest of the Konic skis, enabling faster edge to edge transfers and more precision, but compromising its floatability. On piste, the ski delivers a reliable edge traction and inspires confidence even if you are not an expert skier. The catch-free rocker makes the ride smooth as silk with easier turn initiations and fluid turn to turn transitions. It pivots effortlessly and feels fun to play with. It’s an easy-going ski, don’t expect a monster, it’s soft, it’s smooth, it’s nice. And remember, you are on an all-mountain ski which means you can easily ski on the sides of pistes and discover the joys of riding on ungroomed snow. Don’t go too far or on deep powder though, it is not wide enough to provide a good float, it’s made to help you learn, then you’ll try a freeride ski! In the end, the Konic 75 is an intuitive and predictable partner ideally suited for piste-oriented skiers who want to start exploring the rest of the mountain.

Who is the K2 Konic 75 designed for?

It is a ski that most beginners like, up to intermediates, because it has all it needs for a smooth and painless progression. It’s not difficult to manage, it’s not heavy nor stiff, it’s the perfect ski for enjoying a day on the slopes. If you are experienced or if you are a heavy skier, better pick a stiffer ski like the iKonic 85 Ti, more powerful.

Shape

  • Directional (front tip)  :

Structure - Construction

  • Cap Construction  :

Durable and lightweight cap skis are built by a sophisticated molding process that envelopes the core and internal materials with the top layer of the ski. Used throughout our ski line, cap constructions can be assembled with a variety of different cores. These variations, such as glass and/or metal materials, are the determining factors of the skis performance.

  • Konic Technology  :

Revolutionary core design that redistributes weight to the ski's perimeter providing power, strength and stability directly over the edge for performance, while reducing swing-weight from the center and extremities for added ease and control.

  • Composite core  :

high quality core made of composite materials. Very secure and forgiving.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Catch Free Rocker  :

Designed to give confidence to beginner skiers by providing more control and easiness. The tip and tail are both raised which makes turn initiations easier at low speed, and increase stability and control.

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.

Interface

  • K2/M2 System  :

K2/M2 is the ultimate binding system ski/plate/binding, designed for performance and leisure.
