Alpine Ski K2 Shreditor 85 Jr

The K2 junior collection allows young skiers to ride confidently on great reliable skis. With them, they will be able to discover the joys of skiing by your side and will progress at an accelerated pace.

What can the K2 Shreditor 85 Jr do?

If you belong to a family of freestylers and the kids have come to age, then it’s about time to equip them with the Shreditor 85 Jr. With that ski, they’ll be able to land their tricks on powder and feel what ‘shredding the backcountry’ really means. The ski is versatile and extremely playful, it pivots and floats easily thanks to the tip and tail rockers but it also grips hard and feels reactive on hard snow. Long or short turns, hard or soft snow, as long as there are tricks and fun involved you can rely on the ski to perform. It’s an absolute blast!

Who is the Shreditor 85 Jr designed for?

This is a ski for those who smash kickers and slash pillows. In other words, it is a ski for young skiers with an advanced level who tend to ski more and more off the piste, or in the park. Mix freestyle and freeride into one ski, size it for a junior use and you get the Shreditor 85 Jr

Structure - Construction

  • Cap Construction  :

Durable and lightweight cap skis are built by a sophisticated molding process that envelopes the core and internal materials with the top layer of the ski. Used throughout our ski line, cap constructions can be assembled with a variety of different cores. These variations, such as glass and/or metal materials, are the determining factors of the skis performance.

  • Poplar/Paulownia core  :

K2's Adventure skis use an Aspen/Paulownia blend core. Lower-density Aspen and even lighter-weight Paulownia allow us to reduce the weight that results from the added surface area of wider skis. In addition, the Bio Core is 15% lighter than the fir/aspen blend traditional in our all-mountain skis.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • All-Terrain Rocker  :

All-Terrain Rocker features an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy, and edge-hold in firmer conditions.

Simply put, All-Terrain Rocker offers versatility and ease in all snow conditions.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

Interface

  • Noodle Ski System  :

The Noodle Ski System is a totally unique technology for the Groms series. The disadvantage in most junior skis is the stiffness of the overall ski due to the minimum thickness required to retain binding screws. With the Noodle Tech binding system, the plate is actually fused to the ski, requiring no screws, so the thinner core provides a smooth-flexing ski. That means better comfort and control for a junior skier and, ultimately, more fun.

Various

  • Swap Base  :

The bases of these skis can come in two different color ways, depending of how the colors are swapped on the base. This gives two looks to the same ski, and ensures you are not rocking the exact same pair as your buddy who just picked up the same pair of skis.
