Alpine Ski Line Chronic

Line is a leader in the freestyle ski world and show it one more time with the Chronic, a freestyle ski mid way between the snow park and the all-mountain use. Its medium flex is soft enough to do nose press an butters all over the place. Concerning the 5 points sidecut, it makes the Chronic an ultra modern model super easy to handle in any snow conditions even in the fresh powder fallen overnight.

What can the Line Chronic ski do?

Those playful blades surprise us by their abilities to evolve on all terrains. They can go from the slopes to the snowpark in the blink of an eye. Groomer lovers will have all the needed grip to have fun carving and do their first freestyle tricks on the flat. Once in confidence you can attack every park features and attempt any tricks. The Chronic is hyper strong thanks to its XXL metal edges, it can rip the rails all day long and absorbs aggressive landings.

Who is the Line Chronic ski designed for?

This versatile freestyle ski is designed for intermediate and confirmed riders who want to land their first tricks in total peace of mind. The Chronic is versatile enough to be at ease on the slopes and in the park for an everyday use.

Type of turns

  • Long turns

Shape

  • Bidirectional (twin tip)  :

The ski shape allows to ski forward or backward.

Weight of the pair in grams

  • 3596 en 178cm

Structure - Construction

  • Maple Macroblock Core  :

100% maple core : this wood delivers the best ratio lightweight/strength. Better longevity for the camber and the reactivity.

  • Sidewall Construction  :

Construction with woodcore and high-quality sidewalls which reinforce the structure around the edges, and gives a better stability and core protection.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

Various

  • 5-Cut Geometry  :

5 different sizes of sidecut radius shapes are blended into one, for intuitive control and unlimited turn shapes.

  • Sintered Fatty Base & Edge  :

Double thickness of the edge and base : extreme resistance and durability.

    Fast sintered base.

  • Symmetric Flex  :

The same ski flex in-front and behind your boot conforms to terrain for equally performance riding forward & backwards.

Binding technologies

  • Anti Friction Device AFD  :

All Marker bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) and therefore guarantee a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.

  • Compact Heel  :

A statement of efficiency - with the usual perfect MARKER release properties and the perfect mix of great design, lightness and excellent functionality. This heel technology is perfect for beginners and occasional skiers due to the release properties and is an excellent value.

  • Triple Pivot Light  :

The compact toe features a horizontally inserted spring. Together with the gliding plate the gliding elements integrated into the sole holders ensure a very precise release behaviour which is comparable to all other MARKER bindings. Why should touring skiers and freestylers accept any compromises? An aluminium bridge on the top provides additional support without adding any extra weight.
