Alpine Ski Nordica La Nina

The time when freeriding was a 'man sport' is over and forgotten. Proof is, the Nina and its generous 113mm underfoot platform, turning the beauty into a beast. The ski features Nordica's women specific construction with poplar and ash woods and two polyurethan stringers making the ski lighter without taking away its character. The Nina is agile and deals with deep stuff easily thanks to a double rocker enhancing float and pivot. In short, it is a great, solid and durable freeride ski for those looking for having a good time.

What our testers say : A great freeride ski offering enough versatility to be enjoyable on harder snow when conditions aren't at best. It's a powerful and big ski though and requires some technique to be managed. But throw it on deep powder and...you'll have a blast.

Structure - Construction

  • Energy CA wi-CORE  :

Offers a unique all mountain lightweight construction designed specifically for 80% of female skiers and 90% of the terrain on the mountain. With the market trending towards one-ski quivers, this women’s specific lightweight i-core made up of poplar, ash, and two ultra light polyurethane center stringers, provides a very stable and versatile ride in all conditions on any part of the mountain. wi-core = women’s specific lightweight versatility and stability

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Camrock Powder  :

Powder camROCK! skis are built to ski powder in ways never before thought possible. With significant rocker in the tip and tail, these skis float effortlessly. By retaining a bit of camber under foot, these skis are still exceptionably stable and track comfortably in all snow conditions. Yes, even on the hard pack! T he very low, broad, “Blunt Nose” design maximizes on edge snow contact while reducing unstable tip vibration that is a common in other rockered skis.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.
