Alpine Ski Rossignol Pursuit 800 Ti Fluid X

If you want to play Catch me if you can, you should ride a Pursuit, that’ll give you a serious advantage if you don’t want to be caught. Designed with groomed snow in mind, the Pursuit series combines power and playfulness allowing skiers to play all day. Who said that performance and fun didn’t go well together?

What can the Rossignol Pursuit 800 Ti Fluid X do?

Behind a sober and elegant design hides a ferocious predator. The 800 Ti stands on the top of the Pursuit range (not the food chain) and if there’s one thing we can say about it, it is a ski of character. The Ti following its name stands for Titanal. The ski is powered by titanal and delivers an incredible amount of stability at high speed and strong energy return. Its 71mm waist offers lightning fast edge to edge transfers while its sidecuts allow unparalleled carving abilities. It carries Rossignol’s latest technologies such as the Pro Tech system enhancing turn initiations and control. This very same technology is used on Rossignol World Cup skis by the way. But all these features make the ski quite demanding and you will need strong legs to manage the beast.

Who is the Rossignol Pursuit 800 Ti Fluid X designed for?

These are skis suited for demanding expert skiers looking for a lively, responsive and precise carving weapon. No matter how fast you ride, the ski cannot be shaken. With this on your feet, no need to play with your friends, all they’ll see of you is your back.

What are the main assets of the Rossignol Pursuit 800 Ti Fluid X?

Structure - Construction

  • CAP 3D  :

3D Cap skis have a cap running along the whole ski. It makes the ski more comfortable and forgiving. Woodcore structure.

  • Wood core  :

Woodcores - used since ever in the ski industry - offer great performance. They provide stability and rebound, eliminate vibrations and are extremely durable.

  • Prop Tech  :

Transversal ski flex release system. In response to the new turn radius regulations issued by the FIS, we have worked hard on the actual structure of the ski in a bid to improve turn initiation and make handling more enjoyable. The result is the Prop Teck Technology. The Zicral top reinforcement layer is cut lengthwise at the tip of the ski for superior power transfer and ski control. This technology is used by all our World Cup racers.

  • Titanial reinforcement  :

Titanial is a metallic alloy using aluminium. It gives precision, grip, smoothness and stability on all terrains. A reference for top-of-range skis.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

  • Power Turn Rocker  :

High camber on 90% of the ski length delivering power and grip with an excellent contact feel. The 10% left are rockered and allow easy turn initiations and optimum control.

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.

  • TPX  :

A new larger metal binding-to-plate interface increases torsional stiffness which translates to stronger performance and precision. A control beam combined with Twin VAS (Visco Material) that absorbs vibrations, facilitates rebound directing pressure to the extremities. The tool-free binding simply slides on the integrated TPX system for easy adjustment.

Ski Binding Look SPX 12 Fluid B80 Black Red

Worthy successor of the Pivot and the PX, the SPX combines high performance and optimal lightweight. It absorbs unexpected terrain change thanks to its exceptional elactic travel which is one of the longest available on the market. Its kinematics allows a dynamic centering of the boot for added precision.
