Alpine Ski Rossignol Scratch

Seeing how Parker White and Dylon Florit perform with Rossignol S Series skis on their feet gives you a first clue about what the skis can do. They are pure freestyle player made to shred in the park and pipe. They are playful, strong and durable, ready to withstand the most insane tricks you can send.

What can the Rossignol Scratch do?

If the Scratch is the most award winning skis at the half-pipe event of the X-Games, it is not due to chance. Featuring an ultra powerful microcell woodcore, the Scratch is loaded with pop and can propel you high in the sky effortlessly. Its short and round tip diminishes swingweight through spins and offers added air control. Made of elastomeric materials, it also provides more pop and absorbs shocks better for smoother landings. The Scratch is absolutely fantastic but it needs skills to be managed. It feels very playful and nimble, it pivots with ease and climbs walls if you ask it to. The sturdy construction makes it perform on rails as well and allows skiers with ambitions to land their new tricks within days. In short, the Scratch is a park ripper offering tons of pop, rebound and playfulness to all talented freestylers out there.

Who is the Rossignol Scratch designed for?

We recommend the Scratch to advanced and expert freestylers looking for a park performer. The Scratch has been around for years and we know what it’s capable of. The 2016 version does nothing to diminish that reputation.

What are the main assets of the Rossignol Scratch?

Edge control

Structure - Construction

  • Minicap Sandwich  :

Ultra durable construction built with wood cores, 30 degree sidewalls, fiberglass and high-tech laminates. The Mini Cap ROSSITOP to strengthens the top of the ski and is resistant to chipping for increased durability. The sidewalls of the skis are angled at a 30° incline to improve swing weight, reduce the overall weight of the ski, and enhance edging and durability.

  • Fiberglass / Wood core  :

The fiberglass structure enhances flex and stiffness, increases resistance to torsion, and improves boosts on turn exits.

The wood provides stability and rebound, eliminates vibrations, and has a great durability.

  • Microcell core  :

High quality core made of composite material. Extremely safe and forgiving.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Rocker type

  • No rocker

  • OPEN  :

OPEN models can be mounted with telemark or touring bindings.

  • Extended Sidecut  :

Oversize takes the benefits of the aggressive sidecuts of carving skis and combines it with modern waist widths. The aggressive oversized tip & tail dimensions produces strong edging, power and precision. The wider dimension of the waist increases stability and easy turn transition. Combining big sidecut with modern waist widths produces accurate edge feel and unprecedented stability.

  • Jib Tip  :

The rounder tip shape and profile is designed for pipe and park transitions and skiing switch.

  • WRS  :

Weight Reduction System Patented fiberglass sock design. The fibers are more concentrated under foot with less density in the tip and tail to maximize the skis' durability and minimize overall weight.

  • Twin-Tip  :

A symmetrical shape for a 100% freestyle ride, as efficient in switch as in regular stance.

Binding technologies

  • Anti Friction Device AFD  :

All Marker bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) and therefore guarantee a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.

  • Compact Heel
  • Triple Pivot Light  :

The newly designed, compact toe features a horizontally inserted spring. Together with the gliding plate the gliding elements integrated into the sole plates ensure a very precise release behaviour which is comparable to all other Marker bindings. Why should tourers and freestylers make any compromises? An aluminium bridge on the top provides additional support without adding any extra weight.
