Alpine Ski Rossignol Smash 7 Xpress

After few cosmetic touches, here comes the Rossignol Smash 7 Xpress again this year with green tip and tail. This freeride ski is the most accessible of the range, it keeps the same construction as last year’s with a long tip and tail rocker and a classic camber underfoot. Its fiber glass reinforcement offers liveliness without being too demanding. Are you ready to smear some pow?

What can the Rossignol Smash 7 Xpress ski do?

True invitation to freeride, the Smash 7 Xpress is still forgiving and playful to ride thanks to its double rocker that delivers a great handiness. You can ride in any snow conditions thoughtlessly. The 92mm waist offers enough surface to float in powder at any speed to lay beautiful trenches on any faces of the mountain or simply beside the slopes.  The soft flex of the Smash 7 Xpress makes it easy to control and will please most of the freeriders but might disappoint the expert riders looking for a stiffer ski in the 7-Series. Concerning the handiness, nothing to say, the Smash 7 Xpress is lively and turns on the spot. Its classic camber underfoot delivers a good edge hold on the slopes and you could attack any runs when the pow is lacking.

Who is the Rossignol Smash 7 Xpress  designed for?

This forgiving ski will make every intermediate freerider happy. If you are looking for an everyday powder ski also powerful on groomed runs the Smash 7 Xpress is for you.

Structure - Construction

  • CAP  :

Makes the turns initiation easier, provides more forgiveness.

  • Fiberglass / Wood core  :

The fiberglass structure enhances flex and stiffness, increases resistance to torsion, and improves boosts on turn exits.

The wood provides stability and rebound, eliminates vibrations, and has a great durability.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Powder Turn Rocker  :

Rossignol's Powder Turn is engineered with 50% low camber underfoot while the remaining 50% of the tip and tail features high rocker. The camber underfoot delivers power, energy, and edge grip for groomed snow. The high rocker tip produces more floatation and effortless powder skiing. The high rockered tail is pin shaped to allow skier to have an efficient angle of attack providing easy steering and instant speed control. The 50/50 rocker/camber combination is the most versatile from pow to groomers.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

Interface

  •  :

This new system is one of the lightest on the market. You'll forget about your bindings and will focus on enjoying skiing.

Various

  • Centered Sidecut  :

Rossignol's Centered Sidecut technology features a unique, tappering tip and tail with short sidecut directly under the foot. The deep radius gives edge grip and power underfoot while the short length of the sidecut allows easy steering and playfulness.
