Alpine Ski Rossignol Super 7

Remember the 7 Series? Probably one of the most successful series of all times, the skis were a true revolution in the freeride industry. They were so good that Rossignol continued the series for 2016, allowing skiers to push their limits further.

What can the Rossignol Super 7 do?

The Super 7 is for skiers eager to discover what’s hidden behind the resort. It is for riders who go past the ropes early in the morning and return on groomers only to reach the car at the end of the day. The Super 7 is a hard charging freerider boasting state-of-the art technologies helping skiers to move elegantly through the trees while slashing powerfully through pillow fields. It blasts through any kinds of snow and delivers fun whatever the conditions. Its huge tip and tail rockers offer a natural floatation and added manoeuverability while the lightweight construction helps freetourers reaching the peak without wearing themselves out. The ski is a powerful beast with tons of underfoot power and support thanks to a waist at 116mm and if you worry about how the ski works when powder is lacking, don’t. The sturdy construction maximises edge control on hard snow and keeps the ski railing on its edge without skidding. All it takes is a bit of legs, better have them strong!

Who is the Rossignol Super 7 designed for?

The Super 7 is a ski that demands respect...and skills. We recommend it to advanced and expert freeriders, who want a powder-oriented ski that remains versatile enough to handle rough conditions when powder is nowhere to be seen.

What are the main assets of the Rossignol Super 7?

Structure - Construction

  • Air Tip  : A Patented Technology exclusive to Rossignol! The tip is air filled for maximum lightness and constructed to retain maximum torsional rigidity. The ski's weight is redistributed, freeing the tip and tail of the ski and providing greater ease, security and versatility. The fact that the center of gravity is closer to the center of the ski concentrates strength under the skier's feet. THE ROCKER REVOLUTION IS HERE!!!
  • Minicap Sandwich  :

Ultra durable construction built with wood cores, 30 degree sidewalls, fiberglass and high-tech laminates. The Mini Cap ROSSITOP to strengthens the top of the ski and is resistant to chipping for increased durability. The sidewalls of the skis are angled at a 30° incline to improve swing weight, reduce the overall weight of the ski, and enhance edging and durability.

  • Light Wood (Paulownia) Core  :

Experience skis have a Paulownia woodcore. It is 30% lighter which makes the ski effortless to manoeuver.

  • Diagonal fibreglass weave

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

  • Powder Turn Rocker  :

Rossignol's Powder Turn is engineered with 50% low camber underfoot while the remaining 50% of the tip and tail features high rocker. The camber underfoot delivers power, energy, and edge grip for groomed snow. The high rocker tip produces more floatation and effortless powder skiing. The high rockered tail is pin shaped to allow skier to have an efficient angle of attack providing easy steering and instant speed control. The 50/50 rocker/camber combination is the most versatile from pow to groomers.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

  • OPEN  :

OPEN models can be mounted with telemark or touring bindings.
