Alpine Ski Salomon Q Lux Enfant

If your selection has come down to two skis only and these skis are the Q Max and the Q Lux, it means you have consistent criteria. The two skis are exactly the same, only the graphics change. The Q Lux can be considered as the girly version of the Q Max.

Featuring a forgiving composite core in a monocoque construction, the ski ensures the smoothest character ever. The rising tip allows for catchfree turn transitions and intuitive entries while the mellow flex makes sure you don't get kicked too hard out of your turns.

What our testers say : The ultimate all-mountain ski for every kid waiting out there. Derived for many ages (baby, Junior, kids), the Q Lux allows performance and forgiveness on all terrains. Effortless and intuitive, there's no better ski to learn with than this one. A great way to discover the joys of skiing.

Manufacturer info :

Type of turns

  • Multi-turns

Shape

  • Directional (front tip)  :

The ski shape allows only a directional use.

Weight of the pair in grams

  • 1900 en 120cm

Structure - Construction

  • Monocoque  :

Single layer of fibers, reactivity and manoeuvrability.

  • Composite core  :

Fibers combination for more lightweight, manoeuvrability and adaptability.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • All-Terrain Rocker 2.0  :

    Absorption of terrain variations

70% of the ski is in contact with the snow when it sits flat on the ground. 90% of it is in contact with the snow when it is on the edges.

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.

Interface

  • Easytrak  :

The smart solution for light skiers or beginners. Pre-mounted system for an easy, quick and toolfree adjustment.

Various

  • Reinforced structured top
  • Heel protection
  • Tip protector  :

Carbon reinforcement increasing the reactivity and the stiffness in torsion without compromising the weight of the ski.

I was looking for a ski to help my daughter progress her skiing. I have been teaching her to ski. She is six years old. This ski is fantastic. She loves it. She was ably to ski hardpack piste, powder on the side of the piste, the snow park and even hit some jumps. It looks trés jolie too!
