Alpine Ski Salomon W Max 12

Salomon hit hard this year with a new women slope ski serie, sharing the same characteristics as the men series. The W Max 12  is the strongest of the serie with a double titanium reinforcement carbon enriched and a wood core more than lively. Salomon engineers even gave the W Max 12  a carved tip rocker to make this women ski even sharper and more powerful.

What can the Salomon W Max 12 ski do?

This supercharged rocket is designed to shred the slopes. It grips on any kind of snow and won’t let you down even on ice. You can adapt the pace, schuss down or slalom carving, the W Max 12 will give you thrills for sure. The double titanium reinforcement offers a stunning stability and you can attack the slopes as much as you can without feeling it vibrates nor sideslip. You will lay lines with surgical  accuracy and you  wil have to hang onto your blades coming out of turns. Its carved rocker brings a touch of forgiveness making the ski a little bit less demanding. The beast still requires great skills and physical conditions to be tamed.

Who is the Salomon W Max 12 ski designed for?

This new model is yearning for becoming the new reference of the women slope ski. Designed for experts and athletes who won’t be surprised by its stiffness. The W Max 12 will show you what high speed carving really is and will reveal the champion in you.

  • Short turns

Shape

  • Directional (front tip)  :

The ski shape allows only a directional use.

Structure - Construction

  • Oversized Active Contact sidewalls  :

Sandwich ABS construction for optimal energy distribution and grip.

  • Double layer of titanium laminate  :

Improved precision, enormous edge grip and maximum responsiveness.

  • Low density woodcore  :

The composite core density is lower which makes it 20% lighter without making it weaker.

  • Honeycomb structured tips  :

Tips are ultralight and offer a better floatability. Less swing weight for added manoeuverability et more control. Better dampening and durability.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Carve Rocker  :

Thanks to the rocker, there's a full running length of the edge, which allows easy and precise turns. Very playful.

Rocker type

  • Tip rocker  :

Skis are more manoeuvrable, contact points on the skis are placed in order to reduce the effective running length, which allows easier pivot and a better float.

Interface

  • X-Track plate  :

    Optimal power transmission

Various

  • Powerline Carbon
  • Heel protection
  • Pulse PAD  :

A layer of rubber along the edges and in certain zones of the ski for smoother ride and improved ski-snow contact.

  • Tip protector  :

Carbon reinforcement increasing the reactivity and the stiffness in torsion without compromising the weight of the ski.

  • Gentle Rise Tail  :

Gentle rise of the tail for more forgiveness and more control in all conditions

Ski Binding Salomon M XT 10 Ti W C90 Black Silver

The binding is lower which provides a more precise feel and an improved contact with the terrain. It is also wider with better lateral transmission.

The Progressive Transfer pads reduce vibrations and deliver a better ski/snow contact feel.

Compared to the previous version (Smartrack), the binding is 15% lighter in its Ti version and 5% lighter in its X-track STD version.

It's easy to mount and doesn't require any tools for adjusting different boot sizes.

The binding meets skiers' needs.
