Alpine Ski Volkl Revolt

Tired of playing video games and looking for a real assault weapon? We might have something for you. The Revolt. A bulletproof freestyle gun designed to rip the mountain from peak to park.

What can the Völkl Revolt do?

To make sure they will win the revolution, Völkl equipped its Revold with a new asymmetrical shape the delivers unparalleled skiability whether you ride switch or regular. The Revolt is an outstanding multitasker and an incredible freestyler, you can take the ski out any day in any conditions, it will make you happy. Its generous sidecuts and its 95mm waist ensure support on soft snow while the tip and tail rocker provide a natural floatation and a great manoeuverability on the deep. The ski pivots intuitively and stays under control no matter what.
The two rockers make the ski very playful as well. You can press easily and butter any lip that comes across. On the hardpack, the ski feels responsive and lively, the traditional camber enhances edge traction and you get a reliable feel at high speed. If there is no terrain park in the resort, all you need to do is let your imagination do the work and you’ll see kickers and rails appear everywhere.

Who is the Völkl Revolt designed for?

This is a great ski for intermediate and advanced skiers who want something fun, durable and versatile. The Revolt handles any terrain and delivers consistent freestyle performance throughout the mountain.

What are the main assets of the Völkl Revolt?

Type of turns

  • Long turns

  • Bidirectional (twin tip)  :

The ski shape allows to ski forward or backward.

Structure - Construction

  • Multi Layer Woodcore  :

Völkl freeskiing models feature a multi-layer wood core with two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is poplar. The more dense wood creates secure screw retention and stability, while the softer poplar section allows for resilience and snap. The flex pattern can be tailored to each ski model to match the desired performance characteristics.

  • Sidewall  :

The combinaison of sidewalls with an added mini-cap ensures better power transfer and improved protection for the top edge. The sidewall supports aggressive, agile and playful on-piste skiing.

  • Tough Box Construction  :

Tough Box construction features a Multi-Layer wood core wrapped with a composite/fiberglass sheath to create the ultimate resilience and snap for our freeskiing models.Surrounding the core in the mid-body of the ski, it adds snap, strength and binding screw retention.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

  • Tip & Tail Rocker  :

The ski has a variable edge length in the shovel and tail areas. The rocker height is minimal. The variable edge set between the shovel and tail makes the ski turn-happy. That in turn allows for a stiffer flex setup. A longer ski can be selected.

  • Twin-Tip  :

A symmetrical shape for a 100% freestyle ride, as efficient in switch as in regular stance.

Binding technologies

  • Anti Friction Device AFD  :

All Marker bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) and therefore guarantee a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.

  • Compact Heel  :

A statement of efficiency - with the usual perfect MARKER release properties and the perfect mix of great design, lightness and excellent functionality. This heel technology is perfect for beginners and occasional skiers due to the release properties and is an excellent value.

  • Triple Pivot Light  :

The compact toe features a horizontally inserted spring. Together with the gliding plate the gliding elements integrated into the sole holders ensure a very precise release behaviour which is comparable to all other MARKER bindings. Why should touring skiers and freestylers accept any compromises? An aluminium bridge on the top provides additional support without adding any extra weight.
