Alpine Ski White Doctor FT9 Demo

The little brand was born in 2007 in Serre Chevalier, France. Eric Bobowicz is her father and his values are 'simple and efficient'. White Doctor skis are now well established in the industry, and come in 3 ranges. The LT (Light Tail) featuring a light construction, best at touring. The FT (Flat tail), for more traditional skiers who like speed. And the TW (Twin-tip), for the ones who like to play with their skis. 3 sidecuts are available, 8, 9 or 10 depending on what you're planning to do with the ski. Piste, all-mountain or freeride. The FT9 is the All-mountain one, given for 50% piste 50% powder, it features a traditional camber and no rocker, which is quite rare on that kind of ski, but that goes well with the "NoNanobullshitTechnology" developped by the brand who believes in simplicity. And the FT9 prooves that it works. An amazing lively and grippy machine that will tear the mountain apart. C'mon, go ahead and try, freedom's just around the corner.

What our testers say: Let's be honest, it you want to fully enjoy the FT9, you'd better have some good legs. The ski is extremely powerful regardless of the terrain ridden. Insanely aggressive on piste thanks to a tail that works actively, the ski also performs with ease over powder, delivering tons of power and versatility. A great all-mountain just the way we like 'em.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.
