Alpine Ski CD Klint Krypto Lite Ltd DA***

We are selling items with cosmetic defects. They are new and unused, guaranteed by the manufacturer, and have no construction faults. The graphics have been scratched during transit or storage.
We rank them according to their state:
This ski has been ranked 3*, it has barely noticeable defects.

Pretty similar to the Krypto, the Krypto Lite still features a double rocker, but is one millimeter narrower at the waist, which makes it more versatile and nimble. Best suited for tough conditions, it's not ridiculously big and and heavy, which allows the ski to work a little better than its bigger brother on groomers. Don't expect exceptional performance though, it's not a carver, but you can rely on it to reach the village at the end of your day.

What our testers say : An other fat freeride ski, but a lot less demanding than the Krypto. Easier to ride, it'll make intermediates happy. Perfect for those who have gathered a sufficient level on piste and who now want to experience the surfy feel powder can deliver. The ski is agile and turns easy. It floats very well and it's perfect for discovering the joys of freeriding. Just don't exceed the speed limit, you'll loose stability.

Note: the sale of this item implies a personalisation of the product (drilling the skis). The right of cancellation cannot be exercised on these products, according to the Article L121-20-2 of the French Consumer Code. No refund or exchange will be accepted.

Structure - Construction

  • Slanted ABS Sidewalls  :

Slanted ABS Sidewalls to reduce swingweight while providing solid edge grip

  • Sandwich construction  :

    For rebound and energy

  • Potent Full Birch Wood Core  :

    Birch core, extremely strong.

Camber type

  • Classic camber  :

When the ski sits flat on the ground, the tip and the tail are in contact with it while the midsection rises above. It is this section that maximises the energy transmission towards the edge, ideal for piste skiing. It also provides a rebound which enhances energy return and pop.

Technology

  • Deep Rocker (Big Mountain)  :

The deeper the snow and the bigger the mountain the more these skis excel. The low profile early rise of the tip represents 23% of the skis overall length, ensuring that the ski will carve nice round turns in powder and never dive in the deep stuff. The center 63% of the ski has 2mm of traditionnal camber that provides the energy, rebound and edge grip in varying conditions. The tail has 14% of gradual rise to make sure that you never get hung up finishing a turn.

Rocker type

  • Tip and tail rocker  :

Full length rocker perfect for surfing powder. It floats easily and ensures smooth and effortless turns. Landings are easier too.

Various

  • Multiple Radius Sidecut  :

The ski has a multiple radius design to optimize its use in the powder but also work well on groomed conditions.

The center radius works with the traditional camber on the center of the ski. It has a shorter turn radius and will work best in crud and packed powder conditions.

The larger radiuses are the flatter areas, less turn radius in the tip and tail, and it is designed to work with the rocker in the ski for powder conditions. The reason why you want less sidecut in fluff is so that the ski is less "hooky", providing smoother turns and more floatation on the top of the snow. In essence, a greater ability to slide the ski across the top of the snow.

Shape

  • Bidirectional (twin tip)  :

The ski shape allows to ski forward or backward.

Binding technologies

  • Anti Friction Device AFD  :

All Marker bindings are equipped with a moveable AFD (anti friction device) and therefore guarantee a highly precise release almost entirely unhindered by dirt, snow and ice! Individual adjustment of the AFD to the area of application ensures perfect functionality - from racing, for children’s bindings or on ski tours.

  • Hollow Linkage Heel  :

The heel was also redesigned from the ground up to guarantee optimal retention for all types of alpine and touring soles. The aluminium hollow axle saves on weight and maximizes the torsional stiffness. This very robust heel construction is best suited for the most strenuous of requirements.

  • Triple Pivot Light  :

The newly designed, compact toe features a horizontally inserted spring. Together with the gliding plate the gliding elements integrated into the sole plates ensure a very precise release behaviour which is comparable to all other Marker bindings. Why should tourers and freestylers make any compromises? An aluminium bridge on the top provides additional support without adding any extra weight.
