Snowboard Burton Custom Twin Flying V

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

You probably know the Custom already and if you keep an eye on the market you know that Burton has derived it in several versions. There is the X for the most aggressive ones, the standard Custom for the versatile riders and there’s the Twin for freestylers. This board comes in two profiles, this is the Flying V

What can the Burton Custom Twin Flying V snowboard do?

This is for you if you’re after a freestyle-oriented board that can ride it all. The Custom Twin Flying V is more forgiving and more playful than the standard version thanks to the Burton-specific Flying V profile. This combination of camber and rocker gives the board a more predictable character and a smoother ride on variable terrains. Rockered tips make it more playful between park features and the reverse camber between the bindings offer a more natural pivot and a catchfree ride. The cambered sections beneath the feet provide added response and grip on hard snow and more pop as well. The board feels easier to ride and requires less efforts, perfect for boosting your creativity.

Who is the Burton Custom Twin Flying V snowboard designed for?

We recommend it to everyone looking for a forgiving and easy-to-use ride. Intermediate and advanced riders, even experts will love the Custom Twin Flying V. It has everything you may want, it’s playful, freestyle-friendly and it feels simply fantastic.

Structure - Construction

  • Dualzone™ EGD™  :

The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength.

  • 45° Carbon Highlights Hi-Voltage Fiberglass  :

Carbon Highlights optimize each layer of the fiberglass matrix and adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce weight and fine tune torsional feel to achieve different ride characteristics. 45° fiber angle provides a more aggressive ride.

  • FSC™ Certified Super Fly II™ 700G Core  :

Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight.

  • Off-Axis Squeezebox  :

Squeezebox technology is a new system with a thinner underfoot construction and thicker elsewhere which gives more pop and more reactivity to the board.

Shape - Sidecuts

  • Shape Twin  :

The shape is perfectly symmetrical for a balanced ride that’s equally versatile when ridden regular or switch. Jib, spin, stomp, and butter with a greater balance of freestyle mobility and cat-like stability no matter which way you point it.

Rocker - Camber

  • Flying V  :

A Springloaded blend of camber and rocker performance, Flying V™ offers the best of both worlds. Rocker overall, including between and outside your feet, enhances playfulness and float through pow. Underneath your feet, subtle camber zones focus edge-control for crisp snap, added pop, and power through turns.

Other

  • Flex Twin  :

Symmetrical flex, from nose to tail, for a perfect balance when riding switch or regular.

  • Infinite Ride™  :

This Burton-exclusive technology allows us to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

  • Off-Axis Frostbite  :

Edges slightly sharper under the feet for optimal edge hold in any conditions. Works with Off-Axis technology.

  • Pro-Tip™  :

A tapered Tip and Tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.

  • Sintered WFO Base  :

Infusing a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material results in an ultra-durable base that stays Wide F!#@ing Open all season in any condition.

  • The Channel  :

Now on more boards and evolved for greater performance, The ChannelM6 has staked its claim as snowboarding’s most direct connection. Focusing power through a central connection that acts as a backbone for the board’s internal tech, it also lets you easily micro-adjust your stance width and angles with all binding formats including EST™, Re:Flex™, and Disc. The upgrade to M6 means Burton is now using a standardized hardware size that improves upon performance and ease-of-use, and allows for compatibility with select competitor bindings, making it a choice for any rider.

Baseplate - Chassis

  • Single-Component Baseplate  :

One material throughout creates consistent response and feel for all-terrain domination.

  • Removable ShredBED 2.0™ cushioning system  :

Ultra lightweight EVA in a simple package that cushions against all the impacts you’ll encounter. Featured on the Custom EST™ and NEW Stiletto EST™.

Highback

  • Canted Living Hinge™  :

This exclusive technology eliminates hardware and weight, and allows you to adjust your Forward Lean and hi-back rotation independently.

  • DialFLAD™  :

The higher the Forward Lean angle on your hi-backs, the quicker your heel-edge turns. Crank ’em forward for icy hits in the pipe like Danny does, or back ’em off for jibbing like Keegan. For mind-blowing micro-adjustability, check out the tool-free DialFLAD™ and MicroFLAD™ systems that give you twice the options of our traditional FLAD.

  • Single-Component Hi-Back  :

The simplicity of a one-piece hi-back means immediate response. Through material blends we then manipulate the overall flex profile—from buttery to responsive.

  • Spoiler Zero Forward Lean  :

Riders who prefer a more playful and relaxed feel will dig the NEW Zero Forward Lean design on select hi-backs. As always, you can still choose to crank ‘em forward for quicker control when carving or climbing icy pipe walls.

Straps - Buckles

  • Smooth Glide™ Buckles  :

Polished, chrome-plated aluminum and lightweight polycarbonate levers give you season after season of buttery smooth and reliable ratcheting power. Designed and built by us, not some shady supplier.

  • Flex Slider  :

Our Flex Slider makes strapping in a breeze with a strategically stretched hinging zone that allows the heel strap to flex and fall fully open. Thanks to science of forced molecular alignment, the Flex Slider is also stronger, making it worthy of the lifetime warranty.

  • Lushstrap™  :

Lushstrap construction with tri-axis curved spine 3D®.

    EVA dampening.

  • Primo Capstrap™  :

  • EST™  :

By removing the materials from beneath your feet, we are able to not only drastically reduce weight, but open our imaginations up to entirely new designs. With EST™, the possibilities for cushioning and enhanced board feel are infinite, and so are the stance options. Get it all without ever sacrificing the edge-to-edge power you know and trust.
