Snowboard Burton Custom X

Note: The actual colour of the board's base may be different than the one shown on the picture. Brands make them randomly.

Here it is again, the Custom X is a mythical board at Burton’s and every rider must have seen it passing by on the slopes. Described by the manufacturer as the most powerful board in their entire line, it makes no compromise on performance and shall satisfy the most demanding riders.

What can the Burton Custom X snowboard do?

It is the ultimate all-mountain snowboard, it pushed versatility to its limits, the board blasts through all terrains at max speed. Carbon construction, high-end base, responsive woodcore, directional shape and twin flex make the Custom X a performance-driven all-terrain beast. The board works on the black park lines as well as it performs through the pipe and carves on groomers as if it was easy. It is also a board suited for smearing the backcountry and surfing powder. Its camber provides tons of pop and lots of power, the board feels super responsive and will not be tamed just by anybody.

Who is the Burton Custom X snowboard designed for?

If you are an advanced or an expert rider and you are looking for a deck that can do it all, then the Custom X is a safe pick. You’ll bring it to the park or off piste and have fun building up new skills and landing new tricks.

Structure - Construction

  • 45° Carbon Highlights Hi-Voltage Fiberglass  :

Carbon Highlights optimize each layer of the fiberglass matrix and adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce weight and fine tune torsional feel to achieve different ride characteristics. 45° fiber angle provides a more aggressive ride.

  • Multizone EGD™  :

A Burton exclusive. Manipulating the angles and direction of wood grain placement within the core results in ultimate edge-hold, response, and durability. In four separate zones, the wood grain is perpendicular to the core adjacent to The Channel - the area from which a rider's power emanates - for ultimate strength and edge control.

  • FSC™ Certified Dragonfly™ 600G Core  :

Use of end-grain woods in impact zones allows us to swap heavier woods for lighter weight species without sacrificing strength.

  • Squeezebox High  :

By integrating carbon fleece into the classic Squeezebox profile, we've loaded up our highest performance core profiling with more pop. Layered just outside your feet, the carbon enables almost instant response in the tip and tail

Shape - Sidecuts

  • Directional shape  :

Classic shape for a versatile use. The nose is slightly longer than the tail.

Rocker - Camber

  • Camber  :

An advocate of powerful turns and poppy precision, camber speaks to the core values of board design. Offering a snappy suspension, camber distributes weight evenly over the entire length of the board allowing for smooth, continuous edge control from tip to tail.

Other

  • Frosbite edges  :

Edges beneath your bindings extend out slightly for tremendous edge-hold on hard, icy conditions. Powerful when you need them, playful when you don’t, Frostbite Edges are hungry for hard-pack while remaining ever forgiving in softer conditions.

  • Flex Twin  :

Symmetrical flex, from nose to tail, for a perfect balance when riding switch or regular.

  • Infinite Ride™  :

This Burton-exclusive technology allows us to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

  • Pro-Tip™  :

A tapered Tip and Tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.

  • Sintered WFO Base  :

Infusing a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material results in an ultra-durable base that stays Wide F!#@ing Open all season in any condition.

  • The Channel  :

Now on more boards and evolved for greater performance, The ChannelM6 has staked its claim as snowboarding’s most direct connection. Focusing power through a central connection that acts as a backbone for the board’s internal tech, it also lets you easily micro-adjust your stance width and angles with all binding formats including EST™, Re:Flex™, and Disc. The upgrade to M6 means Burton is now using a standardized hardware size that improves upon performance and ease-of-use, and allows for compatibility with select competitor bindings, making it a choice for any rider.

Snow Binding Burton Mission EST Black

The Burton Mission is the binding that sums them all up. Standing in a mid-range price point, you get the best money to performance to quality ratio. The EST version is a slight upgrade of the standard version and features a soft baseplate allowing the board to flex more naturally which gives riders a better feel on the snow. The Mission binding is an excellent pick for those who want something reliable and efficient.

What can the Burton Mission EST Black snowboard binding do?

Sportier and more powerful than a Custom and cheaper than a Genesis, the Mission is the right in-between. Featuring a solid construction offering snap energy transfers and strong support, coupled with ergonomic straps bringing hold and comfort together, the Mission stands like a great freerider. This means you can crank up the speed and ride harder, the binding will handle it easy. This exclusive technology eliminates hardware and weight, and allows you to adjust your Forward Lean and hi-back rotation independently.

  • DialFLAD™  :

The higher the Forward Lean angle on your hi-backs, the quicker your heel-edge turns. Crank ’em forward for icy hits in the pipe like Danny does, or back ’em off for jibbing like Keegan. • Spoiler Zero Forward Lean  :

Riders who prefer a more playful and relaxed feel will dig the NEW Zero Forward Lean design on select hi-backs. As always, you can still choose to crank ‘em forward for quicker control when carving or climbing icy pipe walls.
