The Flight Attendant is an ode to nature, designed to take you to the most remote spots of the mountain. It will help you discover or re-discover the joys of off-piste snowboarding. It is a freeride board in its purest form.

What can the Burton Flight Attendant snowboard do?

The Flight Attendant is a freeride-oriented snowboard loaded with all-terrain performance. Featuring a traditional camber, a long rockered nose and a directional shape, it gives focus on manoeuverability. Indeed, a rockered profile makes turn entries a lot easier and enhances steering in general, making it smoother. Rockered boards are also more forgiving and more playful when thrown on powder. On the other hand, the camber keeps the power intact and maximises the edge control. It increases the board’ stability as well and delivers stronger energy returns which is quite handy when you want to keep accelerating out of turns. This camber coupled with a firm flex pattern makes the board ideally suited for carving at full speed on groomers. In short, we have here an ultra versatile snowboard that works on hard and soft snow equally well. A real multitasker for freedom seekers.

Who is the Burton Flight Attendant snowboard designed for?

This is great Burton board (another one!) perfectly suited for good riders looking for a board that can perform on any terrain. Powerful and precise, the Flight Attendant actually feels easier to steer than what you’d expect.

Structure - Construction

  • Carbon I-Beam™  :

This ultra-light carbon backbone increases pop and longitudinal snap.

  • Dualzone™ EGD™  :

The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength.

  • Triax fiberglass  :

Versatile flex and response for everything from mini to mega shred.

  • FSC™ Certified Super Fly II™ 700G Core  :

Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight.

  • Squeezebox  :

Squeezebox is a patent-pending technology that transfers energy outward from under your feet, energizing the tip and tail for added snap when exiting a turn and ollieing. Thinner core sections underfoot transition to thicker, more powerful areas between and outside your feet for a more stable board that can be powered up and manipulated with less effort.

Shape - Sidecuts

  • Directional shape  :

Classic shape for a versatile use. The nose is slightly longer than the tail.

Rocker - Camber

  • Directionnal Camber  :

Directional camber and with rocker at the nose allows for a much shorter and more maneuverable board

  • Balanced Freeride Geometry  :

Twin or directional is the age-old question for creative rippers like Terje. Balanced Freeride Geometry end the debate with setback camber and a sidecut that is centered on your stance to create a twin freestyle feel when riding flat base. On edge it turns tight and quick with the float and prowess expected from a directional deck.

  • Directional flex  :

This versatile flex enhances tail's pop and stiffens the nose for a better control on all terrains.

  • Infinite Ride™  :

This Burton-exclusive technology allows us to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

  • Pro-Tip™  :

A tapered Tip and Tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.

  • Sintered WFO Base  :

Infusing a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material results in an ultra-durable base that stays Wide F!#@ing Open all season in any condition.

  • The Channel  :

Now on more boards and evolved for greater performance, The ChannelM6 has staked its claim as snowboarding’s most direct connection. Focusing power through a central connection that acts as a backbone for the board’s internal tech, it also lets you easily micro-adjust your stance width and angles with all binding formats including EST™, Re:Flex™, and Disc. The upgrade to M6 means Burton is now using a standardized hardware size that improves upon performance and ease-of-use, and allows for compatibility with select competitor bindings, making it a choice for any rider.
