The Gate Keeper is the big mountain rocket made by Burton. The board dominates all conditions and all terrains the mountain has to offer. It’s good on powder and it excels on deep powder. That should give you the first clue of what the Gate Keeper can do.
What can the Burton Gate Keeper snowboard do?
The Gate Keeper by Burton is a directional board with a setback camber and a huge rocker running through the nose. This very specific profile gives the board tons of float on the deep with added manoeuverability and more edge control on the hardpack as well. The stiff and powerful construction keeps the board stable at high speed and avoids chatter and vibrations. The board plows through the crud without minding. The Gate Keeper is definitely oriented towards freeride and you feel it straight away. It’s a big mountain charger suited for riding hard and fast on deep powder or for carving neat trenches on groomers if conditions do not allow off piste riding.
Who is the Burton Gate Keeper snowboard designed for?
It is a stiff and powerful board, lively and compact under the feet, best suited for advanced or expert riders or freeriders who know how to deal with power. The board is highly versatile and shall satisfy anybody who likes speed.

The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength.
Carbon Highlights optimize each layer of the fiberglass matrix and adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce weight and fine tune torsional feel to achieve different ride characteristics. 45° fiber angle provides a more aggressive ride.
Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight.
Squeezebox is a patent-pending technology that transfers energy outward from under your feet, energizing the tip and tail for added snap when exiting a turn and ollieing. Thinner core sections underfoot transition to thicker, more powerful areas between and outside your feet for a more stable board that can be powered up and manipulated with less effort.
Classic shape for a versatile use. The nose is slightly longer than the tail.
Directional camber and with rocker at the nose allows for a much shorter and more maneuverable board
Twin or directional is the age-old question for creative rippers like Terje. Balanced Freeride Geometry end the debate with setback camber and a sidecut that is centered on your stance to create a twin freestyle feel when riding flat base. On edge it turns tight and quick with the float and prowess expected from a directional deck.
This versatile flex enhances tail's pop and stiffens the nose for a better control on all terrains.
This Burton-exclusive technology allows us to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.
Infusing a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material results in an ultra-durable base that stays Wide F!#@ing Open all season in any condition.
Now on more boards and evolved for greater performance, The ChannelM6 has staked its claim as snowboarding’s most direct connection. Focusing power through a central connection that acts as a backbone for the board’s internal tech, it also lets you easily micro-adjust your stance width and angles with all binding formats including EST™, Re:Flex™, and Disc. The upgrade to M6 means Burton is now using a standardized hardware size that improves upon performance and ease-of-use, and allows for compatibility with select competitor bindings, making it a choice for any rider.

The Burton Mission is the binding that sums them all up. Standing in a mid-range price point, you get the best money to performance to quality ratio. The EST version is a slight upgrade of the standard version and features a soft baseplate allowing the board to flex more naturally which gives riders a better feel on the snow. The Mission binding is an excellent pick for those who want something reliable and efficient.
What can the Burton Mission EST Black snowboard binding do?
Sportier and more powerful than a Custom and cheaper than a Genesis, the Mission is the right in-between. Featuring a solid construction offering snap energy transfers and strong support, coupled with ergonomic straps bringing hold and comfort together, the Mission stands like a great freerider. This means you can crank up the speed and ride harder, the binding will handle it easy. You can even go for a park run where you’ll enjoy the lateral mobility to tweak your tricks and improve your freestyle game.
Who is the Burton Mission EST Black snowboard binding designed for?
If you are a talented rider and you’re looking for a good value for money, the Mission EST is a safe pick. Versatile, the binding delivers comfort and performance everywhere and seems to have no weakness.

Dual-density EVA automatically settles your boot into a natural position regardless of stance width or angles for improved comfort, reduced fatigue, and smoother, more direct board control. Featured on the Malavita, Cartel™, Escapade™, Lexa, and NEW Mission Re:Flex™.
This exclusive technology eliminates hardware and weight, and allows you to adjust your Forward Lean and hi-back rotation independently.
The higher the Forward Lean angle on your hi-backs, the quicker your heel-edge turns. Crank ’em forward for icy hits in the pipe like Danny does, or back ’em off for jibbing like Keegan. For mind-blowing micro-adjustability, check out the tool-free DialFLAD™ and MicroFLAD™ systems that give you twice the options of our traditional FLAD.
The simplicity of a one-piece hi-back means immediate response. Through material blends we then manipulate the overall flex profile—from buttery to responsive.
Riders who prefer a more playful and relaxed feel will dig the NEW Zero Forward Lean design on select hi-backs. As always, you can still choose to crank ‘em forward for quicker control when carving or climbing icy pipe walls.
Polished, chrome-plated aluminum and lightweight polycarbonate levers give you season after season of buttery smooth and reliable ratcheting power. Designed and built by us, not some shady supplier.
