Snowboard Burton Name Dropper

Note: The actual colour of the board's base may be different than the one shown on the picture. Brands make them randomly.

If you want your name to be remembered, this has to be your ride. Just by the shape of it you know what it’s made for. The Name Dropper is going to be the board of choice of every freestyler looking at breaking rails and destroying parks, feature after feature. It is a work of art that’s going to boost your creativity

What can the Burton Name Dropper snowboard do?

The Name Dropper is clearly a freestyle snowboard, a park gun designed to deliver fun all day long. Flat camber, twin-tip shape and playful flex make this board one of the best freestyle deck we ever rid. If you like pressing rails and boxes, if you lay butters everywhere you can, if every terrain drop is a trick opportunity and if you want to charge every kicker the park counts, the Name Dropper is going to stick a smile on your face. It truly is fitted for freestyling, the flex, the shape, the look, everything. Of course you can still ride out of the park and carve a few arcs on the slopes or go surf the pow with your friends, but remember that it’s a park baord and it works as such.

Who is the Burton Name Dropper snowboard designed for?

It is a good choice for intermediate or advanced riders looking for a genuine freestyle board. Poppy and playful, the Name Dropper can deal with any kicker and any rail you’ll find on your way down and it remains versatile enough to handle other terrains on the mountain.

Structure - Construction

  • Dualzone™ EGD™  :

The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength.

  • Triax fiberglass  :

Versatile flex and response for everything from mini to mega shred.

  • FSC™ Certified Super Fly 800G Core  :

Lightened up and loaded with pop, our dual-species wood core utilizes dual-density vertical laminations of alternating softwood/hardwwood to reduce overall weight with no sacrifce in strength or performance.

  • Off-Axis Squeezebox  :

Squeezebox technology is a new system with a thinner underfoot construction and thicker elsewhere which gives more pop and more reactivity to the board.

Shape - Sidecuts

  • Shape Twin  :

The shape is perfectly symmetrical for a balanced ride that’s equally versatile when ridden regular or switch. Jib, spin, stomp, and butter with a greater balance of freestyle mobility and cat-like stability no matter which way you point it.

Rocker - Camber

  • Flat Top  :

New profile : flat between the feet and rockered tips. Allows even more stability, balance and control.

Other

  • Filet-O-Flex  :

Some riders want a more flexible board without sacrificing performance. Filet-O-Flex solves that challenge with ultra-thin profiling that creates soft boards that rip with maximum stability, durability, and grip. An additional benefit is subtle suspension and underfoot padding

  • Flex Twin  :

Symmetrical flex, from nose to tail, for a perfect balance when riding switch or regular.

  • Infinite Ride™  :

This Burton-exclusive technology allows us to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

  • Off-Axis Frostbite  :

Edges slightly sharper under the feet for optimal edge hold in any conditions. Works with Off-Axis technology.

  • Pro-Tip™  :

A tapered Tip and Tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.

  • Sintered base  :

Very good wax absorbtion. Resists against friction. High longevity.

  • The Channel  :

Now on more boards and evolved for greater performance, The ChannelM6 has staked its claim as snowboarding’s most direct connection. Focusing power through a central connection that acts as a backbone for the board’s internal tech, it also lets you easily micro-adjust your stance width and angles with all binding formats including EST™, Re:Flex™, and Disc. The upgrade to M6 means Burton is now using a standardized hardware size that improves upon performance and ease-of-use, and allows for compatibility with select competitor bindings, making it a choice for any rider.

Snow Binding Burton Freestyle Black

It feels like this Freestyle binding has been around forever! Indeed, when you look at the previous collections, you realize it has been 20 years since its first release! 20 years that Burton upgrades its entry-level binding to make it a best seller. The Freestyle features a sturdy construction, very light as well, to ensure the best riding. The quality of the materials used improves every year and the Freestyle benefits from upgrades (like the straps) that used to be featured on high end models. This is Burton's way to deliver quality gear to riders on a budget, and it's a way we like!

What can the Burton Freestyle Black do?

The Burton Freestyle is a do-it-all binding. If its name suggests the Freestyle has the park for home, it can very well perform on any terrain. It's not the stiffest nor the most responsive binding ever, which is why it excels in the park, but it'll teach you how to carve on groomers or how to float pow with a soft and forgiving feel.

Who is the Burton Freestyle Black designed for?

The soft flex makes the Freestyle forgiving and easy. It makes you feel comfortable straight away regardless of the conditions. We recommend it to riders who want progression at good value!

Baseplate - Chassis

  • Bomb-Proof Polycarbonate Re:Flex  :

Buttery and playful for laid-back, relaxed cruising.

  • Single-Component Baseplate  :

One material throughout creates consistent response and feel for all-terrain domination.

  • Re:Flex FullBED Cushioning System  :

FullBEd cushioning offers a full coverage, cushioned platform that maximizes comfort while minimizing fatigue. Anchored to the baseplate, its stealth trap door design lifts at the heel on disc bindings and the toe on Re:FlexTM bindings, making it easy to access the mounting hardware.

Highback

  • Minimized construction  :

By getting rid of any unecessary material, Burton manages to lighten the highback without compromising its strength, its response and its comfort.

  • Single-Component Hi-Back  :

The simplicity of a one-piece hi-back means immediate response. Through material blends we then manipulate the overall flex profile—from buttery to responsive.

  • MicroFLAD™  :

The higher the Forward Lean angle on your hi-backs, the quicker your heel-edge turns. Crank ’em forward for icy hits in the pipe like Danny does, or back ’em off for jibbing like Keegan. For mind-blowing micro-adjustability, check out the tool-free DialFLAD™ and MicroFLAD™ systems that give you twice the options of our traditional FLAD.

  • Spoiler Zero Forward Lean  :

Riders who prefer a more playful and relaxed feel will dig the NEW Zero Forward Lean design on select hi-backs. As always, you can still choose to crank ‘em forward for quicker control when carving or climbing icy pipe walls.

Straps - Buckles

  • Adaptastrap  :

As comfortable in Capstrap as in Toestrap.

  • Smooth Glide™ Buckles  :

Polished, chrome-plated aluminum and lightweight polycarbonate levers give you season after season of buttery smooth and reliable ratcheting power. Designed and built by us, not some shady supplier.

  • Flex Slider  :

Our Flex Slider makes strapping in a breeze with a strategically stretched hinging zone that allows the heel strap to flex and fall fully open. Thanks to science of forced molecular alignment, the Flex Slider is also stronger, making it worthy of the lifetime warranty.

  • Lushstrap™  :

Lushstrap construction with tri-axis curved spine 3D®.

    EVA dampening.
