Snowboard Burton Process Flying V

Note: The actual colour of the board's base may be different than the one shown on the picture. Brands make them randomly.

The Process, here in its Flying V version is back for another season in Burton’s 2017 line of boards. The board is a little easier to manage, a little more forgiving and more versatile than the cambered version, best suited for a freestyle backcountry use.

What can the Burton Process Flying V snowboard do?

The Process is a twin tipped board that works better at freestyling than freeriding. Here is the Flying V version. This means the board comes with Burton’s Flying V profile making the board more forgiving and easier to control on varying terrains. You get better performance in the backcountry. The rockered tips and the reverse camber in the midsection enhance the board’s manoeuverability and maximise its floatation. You can land huge 900s with style and confidence and ride switch in knee-deep powder as if it was easy. It’s for a reason that Mark McMorris made it his board of choice. The Process Flying V works well on harder snow too. Two sections of camber under the boots ensure optimal edge traction and make the board more reactive. It feels poppy and supportive, allowing riders to charge hard and fast on the steeps. It’s a real fun ride for those who want to destroy the entire mountain.

Who is the Burton Process Flying V snowboard designed for?

Freestyle-oriented snowboard, we recommend it to anybody who’d like to make it to the next level without wearing themselves out too quickly. Effortless, easy and fun, the Process Flying V is fitted for a vast majority of riders.

Structure - Construction

  • Dualzone™ EGD™  :

The wood grain is positioned along the toe and heel edges on two continuous zones, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for consistent edge-hold and added strength.

  • Triax fiberglass  :

Versatile flex and response for everything from mini to mega shred.

  • FSC™ Certified Super Fly II™ 700G Core  :

Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight.

  • Squeezebox  :

Squeezebox is a patent-pending technology that transfers energy outward from under your feet, energizing the tip and tail for added snap when exiting a turn and ollieing. Thinner core sections underfoot transition to thicker, more powerful areas between and outside your feet for a more stable board that can be powered up and manipulated with less effort.

Shape - Sidecuts

  • Shape Twin  :

The shape is perfectly symmetrical for a balanced ride that’s equally versatile when ridden regular or switch. Jib, spin, stomp, and butter with a greater balance of freestyle mobility and cat-like stability no matter which way you point it.

Rocker - Camber

  • Flying V  :

A Springloaded blend of camber and rocker performance, Flying V™ offers the best of both worlds. Rocker overall, including between and outside your feet, enhances playfulness and float through pow. Underneath your feet, subtle camber zones focus edge-control for crisp snap, added pop, and power through turns.

Other

  • Frosbite edges  :

Edges beneath your bindings extend out slightly for tremendous edge-hold on hard, icy conditions. Powerful when you need them, playful when you don’t, Frostbite Edges are hungry for hard-pack while remaining ever forgiving in softer conditions.

  • Flex Twin  :

Symmetrical flex, from nose to tail, for a perfect balance when riding switch or regular.

  • Infinite Ride™  :

This Burton-exclusive technology allows us to maximize pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Springloaded, Rocker, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.

  • Pro-Tip™  :

A tapered Tip and Tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.

  • Scoop  :

This scoop shape makes the board a lot more forgiving by raising the edges at the nose and tail.

  • Sintered base  :

Very good wax absorbtion. Resists against friction. High longevity.

  • The Channel  :

Now on more boards and evolved for greater performance, The ChannelM6 has staked its claim as snowboarding’s most direct connection. Focusing power through a central connection that acts as a backbone for the board’s internal tech, it also lets you easily micro-adjust your stance width and angles with all binding formats including EST™, Re:Flex™, and Disc. The upgrade to M6 means Burton is now using a standardized hardware size that improves upon performance and ease-of-use, and allows for compatibility with select competitor bindings, making it a choice for any rider.

Snow Binding Burton Freestyle Black

It feels like this Freestyle binding has been around forever! Indeed, when you look at the previous collections, you realize it has been 20 years since its first release! 20 years that Burton upgrades its entry-level binding to make it a best seller. The Freestyle features a sturdy construction, very light as well, to ensure the best riding. The quality of the materials used improves every year and the Freestyle benefits from upgrades (like the straps) that used to be featured on high end models. This is Burton's way to deliver quality gear to riders on a budget, and it's a way we like!

What can the Burton Freestyle Black do?

The Burton Freestyle is a do-it-all binding. If its name suggests the Freestyle has the park for home, it can very well perform on any terrain. It's not the stiffest nor the most responsive binding ever, which is why it excels in the park, but it'll teach you how to carve on groomers or how to float pow with a soft and forgiving feel.

Who is the Burton Freestyle Black designed for?

The soft flex makes the Freestyle forgiving and easy. It makes you feel comfortable straight away regardless of the conditions. We recommend it to riders who want progression at good value!

Baseplate - Chassis

  • Bomb-Proof Polycarbonate Re:Flex  :

Buttery and playful for laid-back, relaxed cruising.

  • Single-Component Baseplate  :

One material throughout creates consistent response and feel for all-terrain domination.

  • Re:Flex FullBED Cushioning System  :

FullBEd cushioning offers a full coverage, cushioned platform that maximizes comfort while minimizing fatigue. Anchored to the baseplate, its stealth trap door design lifts at the heel on disc bindings and the toe on Re:FlexTM bindings, making it easy to access the mounting hardware.

Highback

  • Minimized construction  :

By getting rid of any unecessary material, Burton manages to lighten the highback without compromising its strength, its response and its comfort.

  • Single-Component Hi-Back  :

The simplicity of a one-piece hi-back means immediate response. Through material blends we then manipulate the overall flex profile—from buttery to responsive.

  • MicroFLAD™  :

The higher the Forward Lean angle on your hi-backs, the quicker your heel-edge turns. Crank ’em forward for icy hits in the pipe like Danny does, or back ’em off for jibbing like Keegan. For mind-blowing micro-adjustability, check out the tool-free DialFLAD™ and MicroFLAD™ systems that give you twice the options of our traditional FLAD.

  • Spoiler Zero Forward Lean  :

Riders who prefer a more playful and relaxed feel will dig the NEW Zero Forward Lean design on select hi-backs. As always, you can still choose to crank ‘em forward for quicker control when carving or climbing icy pipe walls.

Straps - Buckles

  • Adaptastrap  :

As comfortable in Capstrap as in Toestrap.

  • Smooth Glide™ Buckles  :

Polished, chrome-plated aluminum and lightweight polycarbonate levers give you season after season of buttery smooth and reliable ratcheting power. Designed and built by us, not some shady supplier.

  • Flex Slider  :

Our Flex Slider makes strapping in a breeze with a strategically stretched hinging zone that allows the heel strap to flex and fall fully open. Thanks to science of forced molecular alignment, the Flex Slider is also stronger, making it worthy of the lifetime warranty.

  • Lushstrap™  :

Lushstrap construction with tri-axis curved spine 3D®.

    EVA dampening.
