Snowboard K2 Fastplant

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

If you look at it closely, you will probably see it growing. It can grow up to 2 meters per year! We're talking about bamboo here. This particular wood has some very special properties and it's used more and more to build snowboards. It offers pop and durability and weighs almost nothing. The Fastplant is no exception and pro riders Jake Kuzyk and Matt Belzile have chosen it as their partner of choice.

What can the K2 Fastplant do?

The notorious board returns for another season. It is a freestyle twin tipped board, super lively and playful, featuring a flat camber and a nose and tail rocker, the board is easily pressable and fun to move around. Throw it in the park and prepare for rampage. Leave no features untouched with the Fastplant on your feet. Jump the pique-nique table, land on a rail and send double corks off black kickers, the board is a trick machine. K2 has found the perfect mix of stiffness and flexibility to make the board poppy and reactive but also playful and forgiving. And that's not it. The rockered profile allows the board to deal with deep powder with a ridiculous ease meaning you can very well explore the backcountry until you find a natural snow park out there. If for some reason you had not heard about this board, you better get your hands on it before we run out of stock!

Who is the K2 Fastplant designed for?

We recommend it to advanced riders who have a bias towards freestyle. Sturdy and compact, the Fastplant delivers an explosive pop and it can turn any terrain into a new playground. It is a bit stiff though and it requires good technique to be managed.

Structure - Construction

  • Biax ICG 20  :

Integrating carbon into the fiberglass reducing overall weight and creating a super smooth release of power while increasing pop and liveliness. Each level of ICG is tailored for the rider at hand and their performance needs.

  • Carbon Web  :

Always improving the feel and energy return of our boards, the R+D group releases the CARBON WEB rider input/output system. Offered in two levels of sensitivity. Resulting in a more connected feedback loop from terrain to rider.

  • Bambooyah core  :

Whatever you think about snowboards, hit reset. K2’s NEW BAMBOOYAH™ core is INDESTRUCTIBLE* – you read that right. BAMBOOYAH represents a new era of unparalleled durability in snowboarding and can be found exclusively on K2’s NEW park maven – the Fastplant! BAMBOOYAH cores come with an extended, 5-year warranty.

  • Ollie-Bar  :

The Ollie bar is a totally new approach to adding pop to a snowboard. Built in place in a pre-loaded, cambered shape it solves the concern that rocker board don’t have the pop camber board have.Made with a secret layup of carbon, Kevlar and urethane layers, the ollie bar is positioned in the center of the board between the binding inserts. Strong ollies and pressing power doesn’t come from the tail alone. The backbone center section is actually more critical for smooth even pressure. You gotta try it to believe the pop.

  • WH4  :

The WH4 Core pulls every trick from our bag of core tech. With a greater percentage of HONEYKOMB than the WH3 Core, it’s engineered to maintaindurability at minimal weight.

Shape - Sidecuts

  • Shape : True Twin  :

Nose and tail perfectly symmetrical, the inserts are centered, you won't be able to see the difference between regular and switch riding.

Rocker - Camber

  • Tweekend™  :

The rocker goes all the way to the tips which enhances the contact surface : bigger and stabler

  • Freestyle Baseline  :

A twin rocker construction for uling the snowpark. Just enough rocker in the nose and tail for a more feel and easiness on all terrains. Contact points remain above the snow avoiding unwanted catch and keeping an explosive pop.

Other

  • 4000 Sintered Base  :

The fastest natural base on the market + durable + absorbs wax quicker + keeps wax longer

Snow Binding Union Flite Pro Black

730 gramms. That's how much the Flite Pro weighs. It hardly gets any lighter. Built on a simple and effective Flite chassis known for its durability, the binding transfers the energy from the rider to the board at warp speed. The straps give a nice hug to the boots and won't let them slip away until you release the buckles. The toe strap adapts perfectly to the tip of the boot keeping it locked in the heel cup comfortably. You'll notice two aluminium buckles which is pretty rare on bindings standing in this price range. They are more durable and provide a powerful closure.

What can the Union Flite Pro Black do?

This is versatility at its best. The Flite Pro offers a solid hold and good precision through energy transmissions but it also knows how to be flexible and enjoybable through the park or when speed slows down. With the Flite Pro, the entire mountain turns into a new playground.

Who is the Union Flite Pro Black designed for?

The Flite Pro is best suited for beginners and intermediates looking for a durable and forgiving binding. It delivers optimal comfort and makes snowboarding a sheer moment of happiness.
